I did not read the instructions on this thing but I did my first flare job with this for my first minisplit system. My flares looked just as good if not better than the factory flares after practicing 3 or 4 times with the excess copper line. I learned you have to be gentle with the reamer as it can be too aggressive and cut too deep if not. It feels like great build quality. The only thing that absolutely frustrating me is the spring retainers that pop up to keep the actual flare part from separating once you connect the tube gripper with the flaring head. So frustrating to get it off but I have not read the manual so I would not be surprised if it's super easy. I was getting on and off rain on me during it so I hurried through and didn't read the manual.

This flaring tool is GREAT! It is absolutely the best flaring tool that I have ever purchased! If you are looking to produce a factory quality flare this is the tool you want. The eccentric head makes a completely smooth and consistent flare, which is extremely important when doing HVAC work...and the flaring tool handle is clutched so there is no chance of over flaring which happens with other flaring tools! I LOVE THIS TOOL!!!

I have tested (and returned) several flare sets due to quality. This kits isn't the cheapest, but is excellent for the money. I like the bright colors - it helps me keep an eye on the pieces.

This set works well. I work a lot with Mini-split AC systems and the fact that you get both a metric and standard kit is a nice bonus. No complaints so far

This is an amazing flare tool. Use it to repair the lineset on my mini split. Easy to use and perfect flares. If you’re looking at others, this one is the one to buy.

Great tool. I've used it for mini splits. makes perfect flares. Couple tips. Make sure to use burr remover. When cranking down the flare tool. Make certain to take it to the point where it CLICKS and then give it another turn. The clutch releases, and spins easily. Compared it to the factory flares. Make certain to have the copper tubing pushed out to the guide stop to get a perfectly sized flare. Practice a couple times.

It's been a minute since I had to flair tubing but hands down, this is the nicest flaring tool I used. Follow the directions and get a perfect flair every time. Not much else to say.

I was setting up a new heat pump system and I needed a good quality flaring kit to flare my line set that I had purchased in order to make the connections between the air handler evaporator and outdoor unit. Because my outdoor unit was pre-charged with refrigerant, I needed a good quality flaring kit that would allow good flares and a leak-free connection, otherwise I'd have to call someone to do the install. This tool was pretty easy to use - read the directions if you haven't flared before and ensure your pipe ends are cut squarely and deburred. After that, you insert the tool into the flaring bar in the correct size hole and secure it in place, and begin your flare. The tool has a clutch that activates once you've gone far enough, and then you remove your newly flared pipe. One thing I'd note is that you do have to precisely judge how far into the bar you place the pipe - I found that placing the pipe 1/8" beyond the bar gave me clean flares that were large enough (fully formed) to make a nice seal. I initially made the mistake of flaring the largest sized pipe this tool could do (3/4") and I inserted the pipe too far, making it difficult to remove the flaring tool from the pipe. After completing the flares and making the connections, my new heat pump system worked flawlessly - this is a great quality tool that will absolutely give you professional flare ends on HVAC piping. I don't mind paying more for a quality product, and this is absolutely a good quality kit.

J'avais vu quelques commentaires qui étaient moyen,mais après en avoir fait l'essai je trouve que l'outil travaille très bien . J'ai utilisé pour faire des lignes a/c et le flair est beau. J'ai mis une goutte dhuile au bout pour aider et sur les filet de l'outil. Le coupe tuyau est ultra coupant , c'est le meilleur outil de la boite. Pour l'outil de flair il faut porter attention de lenligner comme il faut et de d'y aller tranquillement. Pour l'enlever la fraiseuse du bloc il y a 2 pine à pousser ( sert à éviter que le bloc et outil se sépare un de l'autre pendant qu'on l'utilise et qu'il est dévissé ) je recommande pour quelqu'un qui l'utilise une fois de temps en temps.

I was really on the fence with this flaring tool kit. No reviews, only one YouTube video, and a brand name I never heard of before. I'm an HVAC student about to enter the field and needed some basic tools to start with. Tools are expensive..!!! I saw this kit and thought, if it gets me into the trade then I'm happy. So far, I like it. The pipe cutter is far better than I expected. I have a Ridgid pipe cutter and can feel the difference between the two, but there is nothing wrong with this pipe cutter. Clutch separated as expected on the flaring tool, made it almost too easy. Only thing that surprised me was the green flaring blocks, they were lighter than I expected. Im sure they're fine and I'm just used to my buddy's yellow jacket flaring kit, which I think has solid steel flaring blocks...or at least they feel like it. I will update my review if I encounter any issues.
