Lot of choices for these mics. This one works great and is a good value for the money

Showed up next day and it put a smile on my face. Easy to use and clear instructions. The only place I'm lost at is the plug they sent that looks like it's for a mic. Maybe to charge just don't know how to use it. Works like it should plus a six months warranty. Couldn't be more satisfied!

I had and returned a similar docimeter because the other was not calibrated. Without calibration you have no idea how accurate it is. Buying a recommended 94 db standard source would have cost $85 on Amazon, making this precalibrated unit a very good deal.It is easy to use and everything (including aa batteries) is included.If you do not need accurate information, or just want a sense of how levels are relative to one another, you may not need a calibrated unit, but if you want to make sure that the sound you are producing is within the legal limit (for example) it is a good idea to get a precalibrated unit, unless you have a standard 94bd source to calibrate it yourself.

I used this for work and its the first sound meter I've used so take my comments lightly. The overall quality of the meter isn't bad but you can tell why its only $40-50 just doesn't feel that solid. That being said it worked fine the set up and interface isn't that intuitive so does take a little time actually reading the manual. Once its set up your good to go I would recommend if you just have a basic need and its not a tool you use everyday.

Great DB/SPL meter. I have yet to find a place to make sure its calibrated right but if it is the unit works just as it should. You can measure car audio SPL and calibrate home theater with it and works just fine. I am very happy with it. My only thoughts is I wish it would go to at least 150db. I know they make them but for the price I am more than happy with it. If your in the market for one dont hesitate to grab them one up. If needed I would definitely buy again.

This was my replacement for the first one I received which was defective. The on/off switch on the replacement does not function correctly either. After finally get it to turn on it would NOT turn off. Had to get screw driver , remove back plate to pull out batteries. What a pain in the ace. Returning this one too but buying another brand.
