One of the best Pokemon games ever made!
Pokémon Legends: Arceus is the most meaningful shake-up the series has had in decades — and that’s coming from someone who’s been catching Pokémon since link cables were a thing you lost at school. This isn’t just “Pokémon but slightly different.” It’s Pokémon finally asking the question many longtime fans have quietly wondered: what if the world actually felt alive, and the Pokémon didn’t politely wait for you to walk up to them? Set in the ancient Hisui region, the game strips things back in the best possible way. No gyms, no rigid route structure, and no hand-holding once you get going. Instead, you’re dropped into open areas where Pokémon roam, flee, attack, ignore you, or occasionally choose violence for reasons known only to them. The first time a wild Pokémon aggressively chases you down, it’s both hilarious and humbling. Catching Pokémon feels fantastic. Sneaking through tall grass, lining up throws, using items tactically — it’s fast, fluid, and satisfying in a way the series has always hinted at but never quite nailed. Battles still matter, but they’re no longer the only answer, which adds a surprising amount of depth and player choice. The revised battle system deserves special mention. The Agile and Strong Style mechanic adds genuine strategy without overcomplicating things, and it finally makes turn order feel dynamic rather than fixed and predictable. As someone who understands Pokémon stats, types, and move priority, this system feels thoughtful rather than gimmicky. Visually, it’s a mixed bag — and I say that as a Nintendo realist. The art direction is strong, the Pokémon models are expressive, and the environments convey scale and atmosphere well. Some textures are basic, and you’ll notice it if you’re looking for it, but the overall experience carries itself through design, pacing, and intent. This is a gameplay-first title, and it knows it. What really elevates Legends: Arceus is its tone. There’s a sense of discovery, mild danger, and historical context that gives the world weight. You’re not a champion-in-waiting — you’re a researcher earning trust, building the Pokédex from scratch, and occasionally getting knocked unconscious by an angry Alpha Pokémon because you got cocky. For long-time Pokémon and Nintendo fans, this game feels like a conversation between past and future. It respects the core mechanics while being brave enough to challenge them. It’s not perfect, but it’s bold, confident, and genuinely engaging — which is more than can be said for many iterative entries in long-running franchises. If this is the direction Pokémon continues to explore, the future looks very promising.

Finally change is happening!!!
First, I would recommend that everyone make their own opinion/judgment whether to try this out or not. I am amazed of how many negative reviews are out there, having spent 5 hours non-stop yesterday enjoying this (Even though there is a boring first 1 hour because of all the intros/dialogues). People in their nature resist change, and this game is all about change (since there was no major changes in the last 25 years of this franchise game style). If you are a Pokemon fan who do not care about the best graphics out there (because this is where is game is just average) then you must give it a spin.

Arrived just as Seen
Haven’t played the game much to write a review about it. But it came in a perfectly packed condition and seems original. Booted up in my Nintendo Switch OLED without any issues.

A breath of fresh air.
This pokemon game does several new things to improve and change on the regular old formula, and has a really cool world to explore with cool new regional variants.
