Camille Beckman Silky Body Cream, Signature Camille, 13 Ounce

This is my favorite lotion and cream. Gardenia is my favorite scent and very nostalgic for me. I used to order it from Lake Tahoe when I lived in the Bay Area. The packaging is very aesthetically pleasing in the jars with a little shell on top of the lid. At least when I ordered it.. I love it and the formula was not changed like other products thank God! So good for the skin and smells like you have Gardenias in the house! I recommend this whole heartedly and you will love it. I have it on my desk, my end table by the bed and a smaller one in my purse! You can get lotion or cream and a host of other scents and types.

I am having a love/hate relationship with this lotion. I absolutely LOVE how it feels once applied. It absorbs into the skin well and leaves no greasy residue. It leaves my hands/body feeling super soft. I HATE the scent of the cucumber aloe. It doesn't smell like cucumber at all. It has a definite floral/rose scent which I cannot stand. It is a very light scent but still overwhelms me after applying. If you like a floral/rose scent, get the cucumber aloe lotion.

There were several good reviews on this lotion and so I took the chance. I only buy cruelty free items so this caught my eye along with the positive reviews. It smells terrible. This doesn't smell like "frosty mint" maybe... "cardboard mint" is a better way to describe it, all I can say is, it wasn't pleasant. I thought well maybe I can get past the terrible smell and maybe just have it by my sink for moisturizing after washing my hands but all that came out was oily, watery stuff. I unscrewed the lid and the lotion was extremely thick and wouldn't come through the pump so subsequently, you just get the oily residue at the bottom. I tried to shake it, the product wouldn't move, so I stirred it with a butter knife and now nothing comes out of the pump. Such as life, it's going in the garbage. I rarely leave reviews, but I thought it necessary in this instance because I don't want someone else to waste their money and be as disappointed as I was.
