Important to know but is not stated in the manual: 1. USB dongle should be placed in the Tera base unit - NOT directly to the computer. 2. Majority of the functions are OFF. You have to scan the barcode in the manual to turn it ON. Others: 1. Battery goes to 3/4 after a few scans. Not a deal breaker for me as I do not use the scanner for long periods, but could be for others. 2. Wireless scanner limitation/disconnect/reconnect when I am 5 (open design but filled) rolling cabinets away.

The product works well. The instructions are sufficient to get it up and running. The one thing that was not clear in the instructions was that you need to plug the USB dongle into the charging base and not your computer if you want to only use one USB port on your computer for powering the base and downloading the data stored on the scanner. I have used the scanner to load UPC data into MS Excel, Access, Word and Note Pad so far. It worked flawlessly in all cases. I usually use the mode where the scanned data is stored in the reader then downloaded later. I have tested the real time download mode as well and it works fine. I would definitely recommend this as I use it for home inventory.
