Light is the sixth book in the Gone Series. n Light the barrier has become transparent and the outside world peer into the strange world of the FAYZ (Fallout Alley Youth Zone). A world without adults and where some kids have powers. The darkness has taken a body, the child of Caine & Diana, calling herself Gaia. Gaia is bent on bringing death and destruction; for no other reason than the fact that she’s evil. It’s the EndGame and what an awesome one it is. Some characters will live and others will die. The characters are prey being hunted by Gaia, an enemy who aims to hunt them to extinction. Light is anything but predictable and so much happens. The plot is as we’ve come to expect from Grant, fast-paced. The ending includes the aftermath, what happens once the barrier comes down. I’m not ashamed to say that some of the final scenes brought a tear to my eye including: Sam & Quinn getting their friendship back to how it was, the ending for the two gay characters – Edilio & Roger, what happened to Brianna (Breeze) & Dahra and Orc’s redemption. Overall Light is the best in the Gone Series, closely followed by Lies. The Gone Series is worth reading from start to finish. Here are the books in order: Gone, Hunger, Lies, Plague, Fear and Light.

I was walking through the local supermarket book aisle and noticed a book with a black cover with bright green writing. I knew that I was getting a kindle for christmas so I made a mental note to give Gone a go when I had it. Its been just over a week since Christmas day and I have now read all 6 books. The need to continue reading these books for me can only be compared to the Harry Potter series. It has been a long time since I could say I felt this way about a book series and I adored all of the books in equal measure. I have never been so happy to have been dragged into the book aisle of a supermarket before. If you haven't read them, then do. Much like Harry Potter, Twilight and The Hunger Games, they say that these books are for children but really they are for all ages. You will fall in love with the characters (my personal favourites were Edilio and Lana) and you will laugh, cry, cheer for them, get angry with them and mourn them. The Fayz will draw you in, the mystery that surrounds the whole situation will leave you wanting more. If you think you can handle a world where everyone is under 15, there is anarchy, murder, cannabalism, lust, love, courage and much much more. You will see children grow into 'adults' and characters change for the better, and the worse. It is a true look into human survival. I personally think if it was adults it would have got a whole lot messier. Anyway, firstly I would like to thank Michael Grant for an ending worthy of the whole series, and secondly I will say to start reading Gone.. now. Its not just a FAYZ.

I am any other average fangirl who loves reading books like this. The whole dystopian future type of thing is exactly my style. I started reading the GONE series while I was on holiday and it's taken me a year to read the series (I like to take my time). When I first got LIGHT I was afraid to touch it. Sad, I know. I just knew it held so much power which would ruin my life. GONE is different from any other series in lots of special ways. By the time you finish the first book you feel like the characters are you best friends in the world. I knew that some of my friends where about to die and that's why LIGHT ruined my life. *ATTENTION SPOILERS* Its a simply ASDFGHJKLAMAZINGILOVEITSOOOOOOOMUCH book. I couldn't put it down and read it in three days. When I finally finished I was rocked by the death of Brianna. Breeze was my favourite character and some what of a best friend, like someone who I could really relate to. To put it simply, after her death I cried whenever someone said something Brianna related like "I love your new shoes."-tears. I was also shaken by Caine's death as I really hadn't expected it to come. Caine's story fascinates me and he has such a strong character development which comes from Cocky Kid to Evil Leader to King of the FAYZ to Wise Man in the end. I really felt for all the characters , especially these two and I will probably never get over the series. Ever. And I mean it. *NO MORE SPOILERS* I REALLY HIGHLY ABSOLOUTELY 100% recommend LIGHT as the perfect ending to an AMAZING experience. *SPOILER* I also cried when it said "You are now free to leave the FAYZ." But who wouldn't? After all we've been through.

Rezensionen, die sich in endlosen Liebeserklärungen verlieren, kann ich nicht leiden. Aus diesem Grund ist meine Liebeserklärung sehr kurz: Vielen Dank, Mr Grant, das war umwerfend. Nervenaufreibend. Extrem. Fantastisch.
