Motorcraft FD-4616 Fuel Filter

These are a standard maintenance item, they can get expensive if you can find them in stock locally, Amazon allows me to get a great product at a great price and delivered to my door.

I recommend these Motorcraft fuel filter. They work perfect on my 2006 F256.0 L.

This is the only fuel filter to use with a 6.0 Powerstroke. I would not recommend using any cheap aftermarket filters on this truck. The cheaper filters sometimes don't fit the fuel bowl properly and I don't trust their ability to truly filter the fuel. I. Also can't recommend the Motorcraft oil filters enough for this truck for the same reasons. I would suggest getting the low profile fuel filter socket that cab be found here on Amazon for those who don't have a ratchet with a flexible head. It makes filter removal a little easier. I also highly recommend making sure to lubricate the new o ring and torque the filter cap at the pump properly. It can suck air and not build fuel pressure if it's not tight enough, so keep that in mind.

Just what I needed for my F250 diesel truck oil change. The 2 fuel filters were a perfect, authentic Ford Motorcraft product not a knockoff. The diesel oil filter by Wix was just what I expected. Went together as they should.

So as per all the forums and YouTube, stick with OEM. This product seems like the legit thing. No issues related to the fuel since installing and I am due to redo it shortly after about 2 oil changes.

It's a ford part. At 3/4 the cost of the dealer. If you have a 6.0 use only the Ford ones as aftermarket is not built the same. 450k km on the truck can attest
