Due to length of cable and therefore weight, I made a support to reduce stress on my laptop USB port
Works well . I use a video capture card between my TV and laptop ( 3 metres apart. This 6m USB3 cable along with a 5 m HDMI cable capture video fine ( 60 fps - 1020 resolution )
