I switched to these about 6 months ago because the Alpha Trax strips are very expensive. I have a Labrador retriever that was diagnosed with diabetes. The vet sold us an Alpha Trax system. Although easy to use the test strips are just too expensive. So as I stated early I switched to EverPaw. I would be lying if I didn't say I had a few issues. As others stated, the Everpaw does require a little bit more blood on the test strip when compared to Alpha Trax but we are only talk a drop. It's a drop of blood for goodness sake. This shouldn't be an issue for a canine and really shouldn't be an issue for a feline either. We aren't testing gold fish here...... I've also experienced my fair share of 'failed' test strips. But I'm sure 99% of those were user error. I once lost more than 10 strips before I realized that the machine code didn't match the code on the test strips. This was clearly USER error. It had nothing to do with the product. If you make sure you have a decent blood droplet and hold the test strip in the blood unitl you hear the machine beep you really won't have any issues. It is also worth noting that this company has decent customer service. I was having issues with my machine and contacted them. Without question they sent me a brand new machine free of charge. The "issue" turned out to be batteries that needed to be replaced. Nothing wrong with the machine at all. They didn't ask for the old machine back or for me to return the one they shipped me for free. If you are looking to save money on test strips I'd suggest you give EverPaw a chance. You can buy the machine and a 50 pack of strips for less then Alpha Trax charges for test strips alone.

No issues after few attempts and getting used to it. Seemed very accurate compared to vet.

These test strips have served me well however they are crushing my budget. I don't think you can get a less expensive pet meter and strips but now I am forced to try and convert my cat to a human glucometer because it's much less expensive. If you have the money to spend, I would recommend these highly.

Fast shipping. This is my 2nd purchase and very happy with easy ordering & fast shipping. The strips are accurate and easy to use in the EverPaw monitor. I highly recommend both.

I would not suggest this kit to anyone. I bought this because I was desperate to find something quickly after my cat got diagnosed with diabetes but I should’ve done further research. The glucose strips are very difficult to use and need a large ammount of blood to work. My poor cat had raw ears by the end of two days. It’s not the easiest to use and the lancet also doesn’t prick deep enough to extract the amount of blood needed. Just overall don’t buy this

This product was horrible. I had to stick my poor baby 3 and 4 times to get an accurate reading. It always said not enough blood. She was always bleeding good. I changed back to out alpha trak even though it was more expensive she only has to be stuck once for a reading
