Will this work on the jack button of an acoustic electric guitar?

Not directly. I enlarged the hole/slot in the black part to fit over the jack button on my Epiphone. I used a Dremel tool with a small cylindrical grinder. Works fine now.

Is there any leather on this strap?

No leather, 100% cotton. I like this strap because of its softness but be aware it works great on guitars with the strap screw on the horn (Strat,Les Paul) of the guitar a but if the screw is on the heel (335 style), you end up with an annoying half twist on the strap.

Please help: this strap is shown with only one lock in the photos, which makes no sense - did you receive the strap with 2 locks, one on each end??

Not only do the photos show the strap having only one lock but they also show the strap having only one end. I can confirm that the strap I received does, indeed, have two ends and each end has identical quick-release locks. As far as the ends are concerned, the strap is completely symmetrical and you can put it on your guitar (if you prefer the adjustment buckle behind you or alongside you) in either direction and make no difference to the quick-releasing of the lock.

Does this locking strap work with an lr baggs element and anthem acoustic pickup?

its a strap with a circular plastic lock on each end .... it shouldn't get in the way unless you're tring to attach stuff to the strap pegs themselves ...

My biggest complaint is that this was advertised as a red strap. I was very disappointed when it arrived. Although the tag and model number match what was advertised it is closer to a maroon colour, or at best crimson. The picture on Amazons site is a deep red colour! Beware! It is probably one of those things best not purchased online!

This is an excellent and quick way to attach the strap to the guitar. However, it's not for all guitars. I could not secure the latch on the first guitar I tried it on because the instrument had a slightly larger strap button. But with that being said, it worked fine on other guitars that had normal sized strap buttons.
