Maybe the fastest acting and most effective product I've used over the last 30 years. With some sunshine and over 30 temps, it'll melt sidewalk or driveway ice/snow right down to the pavement.

This was a repeat purchase and I find the salt to be very effective at eliminating the ice from my Michigan drive and walkways. My only complaint is that it took me 15 minutes struggling with a flat-bladed screwdriver and pair of pliers each time to get the top off. It has a pull-strip that supposedly releases the lid but the strip itself is so thick and strong that it requires gripping the end with the pliers and rotating them to wind the strip around them, the only way to get enough leverage to tear it off. And even then it required further struggling with the screwdriver and pliers to finally get each of the four tabs lifted sufficiently to finally get the lid all the way off.
