I see a lot of negative reviews, mine is great and I have nothing negative to say. I have it for a year now and zero issues. The variable speed is awesome too. I used this thing often and I love it

It's not the cats meow! I bought this based on value. Then watched a few YOUTUBE videos about balancing a bench grinder. Seems that is tough to do unless you have other large laths and time. Knowing this now I am a bit disappointed after spooling my new machine up. During it's spin up it vibrated so much it moved 2" on the floor stand and the entire machine shimmied. Once it got to mid throttle it seemed smoother but still vibrate a bit. The paint is crap on the light and the shields. It came out of the box with a scratched top of the light housing. Then I was installing the tool rest tables and as I was removing the screws that were in the wheel housings on of the flat washers stuck to the side. I moved it up from it's position with my fingers and scratched the side of the shield. The paint is very thin. I have not ground anything at this time. I just assembled it and the directions suck. I am mechanically minded so I figured it out, except for the large 1" black washer that comes with it. I have no Idea where it goes and it's not depicted in the so called instruction manual. The motor sounds powerful. The Stand has the same instruction dilemmas. There's a hole in the top of the pipe and the instructions say it's in the middle for the tray! NOT THERE. The *" Grinder has rubber feet and they squash when you tighten them in the stand. Should probably remove the. I'm good with this purchase because the value is there for the price, and I don't do much work with it.
