Reliable clock with clear and bright display
I have now bought three of these clocks to place around the house. Display is bright and clear, but better on the brighter settings. For us they are a good reminder of day and date. They come with a usb cable for using with a power supply. Otherwise you have to use batteries and press the top button to see the display. It would be better if they came with a power adapter. Even if you use an adapter it is worth putting batteries in so you don't lose the settings if the power supply went off. It would be nice to have time synch to a satellite.

Bought for a bedroom, figures are clear to see no the dark, because it’s American the month and date are in reverse order but you get used to that.

Good clock for a reasonable price
Shows the day, date, temperature and time on an easy to read face. Bright enough to see in all light conditions and not too bright at night. Easy to set all parameters

Looks great... when plugged in. Doesn't keep time.
Wanted a digital clock with illuminated digits for some time (pun intended...) with a thermometer built-in. At one point I bought a USB rechargeable one but the battery lasted a single day and the time would eventually be a few minutes off so I stopped using it. Now, hoping tech has improved I decided to try another one but one that could run off a USB cable. This seemed to fit the bill. It arrives in your standard plain cardboard box packaging as with most non big brand items these days. Includes clock itself, an instruction leaflet and a 1m long black A-to-C USB cable. As a side story, I popped into the local super market to buy some AAA batteries just for this clock and it wouldn't power on. Turns out it was the supermarket branded batteries so will probably avoid them in future... Anyway, it looks pretty sleek despite the cheap plastic shell once powered on. Dots between the digits don't blink and digits themselves look great at maximum brightness. Crisp and clear from any angle. Well, almost... The display isn't matte finished so it can suffer from glare when angled towards the window. I think a matte finish or a display with a mirrored layer would have been better. Also, while on battery it's not long before the display turns itself off. I know the description states it must be plugged in for the "screen brightness to stay on" but I was expecting the time to still be visible at least. This means it's useless as a clock when unplugged. When it's on you can cycle through 6 levels of brightness as advertised. That said, the last two levels of brightness doesn't look any brighter to me so it's more like 4 levels of brightness (maybe a lux meter will disagree). Personally, I found level 3 is enough for me during the sunny spring days. Interestingly enough it has a separate brightness setting between 6pm - 7am which you can change during those hours and it will be saved, so those who don't want it to auto-dim won't have to keep resetting the brightness every day. However, I think a button to toggle between dim and a set brightness would be better than a preset time period. Other than that, the temperature sensor matches my other meters so it seems accurate enough. Unfortunately, this suffers the same time keeping problem the other cheap digital clocks I bought had; it eventually runs a few minutes faster. Great looking clock overall... when plugged in. + Bright display looks great; crisp and clear. + Adjustable brightness. + Alternative brightness setting between evening and morning. - Glossy screen finish means glare. - Must press button to view time when unplugged. - A toggle switch between two brightnesses would be better than preset time. - Doesn't keep the time. Runs a few minutes faster at some point.

Poor quality
This product is cheap but poor quality. You constantly have to reset the time.. It worked fine for only a few weeks, We needed it for a family member who was getting very confused with the date and the time. And this product made it worse.

Short flex & USB fitting
I was VERY disappointed that it did not come with a 3 pin mains plug. I had to order a USB plug adaptor at extra cost, so I had to wait for this to be delivered.. It seems that most of these type of products are supplied this way, not customer friendly. I could use the USB wire into the computer, in the office, but most people want an alarm clock in the bedroom. Also the wire is very short & I could not place the clock in the same position as the old one. The clock itself is wonderful, so far. It is great to be able to adjust the brightness and volume. It is nice to be able to choose a different alarm sound. I now awaken to tinkling music & birds trilling, very soothing, a nice start to the day. This one now has the date/day & temperature in colour.
