This lense is amazing. It does not auto focus but the lense turns and you choose the midpoint of the photo or the main subject it focuses really well. This is perfect for portraits and I highly recommend! For only $100 this lense is better than the one that my camera came with. Very crisp photos and amazing results!

I basically obtained this lens just to challenge my eye. The lens is nice and fast and had no issues, the price was right and have no buyers regret. This was more for my own quest of framing a shot with just one lens without breaking the bank

I am a serious amateur photographer. The lens arrived yesterday and I have been testing it for two days. It is taking excellent photos. As far as I can tell, there is no automatic focusing but that is not a problem for me. I highly recommend it.

I received a great manual lens, however, my order clearly says this is supposed to be an autofocus lens. Looks like there are people listing who got it wrong. I both buy and sell on Amazon, so this is really disappointing. I somewhat enjoy the manual focus at such close distances, plus it uses less battery with a manual focus lens. But I can see sometimes wanting to have that autofocus. I thought I was doing something wrong and started looking for an online manual from Nikon when I someone else posted the cameras this lens does not want to work with. There doesn't seem to be any way to request a correction or review of their inventory. Shame. Very nice images because the lens lets in lots of light. But seriously, autofocus is necessary sometimes.

This is false advertising. The vendor KNOWS this lens IS NOT auto focus, but advertises it as such. I am sending it back and I want a refund. I emailed them as soon as I received the lens and have NOT heard a word back from them. On a side note, the lens is KILLER sharp, especially in low light but my sight is not that great so without auto focus I am lost.

Even though I would’ve loved for this lens to be autofocus for my Nikon d3400, I can’t knock the lens for me not realizing that autofocus wasn’t compatible with my camera. That was my mistake. Besides that, however, this was my first non-kit lens after buying my camera and I cannot say that I don’t love it. After having used it and gotten to really learn how to use manual mode (which is the ONLY mode this lens will work with on my camera) I am more thankful for the lens now than I was when I first bought it because I didn’t realize the full range of potential my photography had with this lens until I learned more about photography in general. I love how versatile this lens is and the bokeh affect that I can achieve with it. For a beginner I would definitely recommend this, just with a note of caution to be prepared to have a lot to learn before you can take amazing pictures with it. Always remember, it’s not the lens that makes the photographer, it’s what the photographer knows what to do with it. Anyways, hope this helped!! :)
