Simple Perfection: A Rosemary Beach Novel (The Rosemary Beach Series) Review: Best book of the Rosemary series yet- IMO - Oh.My.God! Abbi!!!!! You absolutely slayed me with this book! I loved seeing Della find herself and realize her self-worth. At times, she was kind of whiney and down on herself and just flat out annoyed me. Granted I completely understand why she is the way she is. However, by the end of the book, I fell in love with her all over again. I'm so thankful that you had her fix her own issues rather than having Woods be her savior and fix them for her. That story line is getting old and completely played out. Della is a strong women and I can't wait to see more of her and Woods in the future. Woods.....what can I say? I fell in love with Woods in Rush's and Blaire's books. Woods is smart, sexy, sensitive and completely Alpha male- total swoon worthy!!! Nothing makes me swoon more than a man who loves fiercely, fights for what's his and isn't afraid to break down and show emotion. His love for Della went so deep it jumps off the pages and completely consumes you. My heart continued to brake for Woods over and over in this book and at times I just felt like he would never be able to catch a break. But he did and Woods and Della's story is one for the ages. Let's talk about the supporting characters now and some scenes: I was glad to see Angelina leave early in the book. That bitch needs a serious ass beating. I flat out wanted to slap the shit out of his mother on more than one occasions no then slap her again just for good measure. Dean cracks me the hell up! Darla too for that matter. Rush with Nate brings me to my knees. Blaire is a kick ass chick and I think she needs to be my BFF like yesterday. Jace has always been one of my faves- I have no words! I enjoyed seeing that snippet of Bethy's POV. I hope to hear more from her soon. She definitely has some skeletons in her closet and I hope we find her some closure. Same thing with Tripp- he apparently had a whole lot more going on.....wow- just wow! Thad kind of seems like he keeps getting the back burner a bit. Maybe we will see more of him in the future too. Grant, Grant, Grant......I can't wait for his book. Loved the little teaser for him and Harlow. I can't wait to read that scene coming up in his book. Nan is just an evil witch. At least we didn't see a lot of her in this book. Unfortunately based on Grants teasers I have a sinking feeling we will be disgraced with her presence a lot in the future. The parking lot scene with Blaire, Della and Angelina. Blaire is definitely my favorite book heroine. I freaking love her and her gun antics- she is one badass chick. I enjoyed seeing this scene from Della's POV after seeing it in Forever to Far. The end of the summer bonfire scene- absolutely slayed me!!! ABBI- why???? I had to walk away from the book for about 20 minutes to regain my composure. I really just have no words. The scene involving Bethy and another character (revealing their secret) towards the end of the book- I hope we find out more there. I love how it seems that all the 'Rosemary Beach' series are starting to overlap a bit. This gives us the opportunity to see a couple of the same scenes involving multiple people from another POV in their upcoming books. I love how we get a few POV's from other characters setting the scene for upcoming books. I can't wait for Grant's books- especially after the bomb that was dropped about him in this one. This book has serious character depth, descriptive scenes and an excellent storyline. There are multiple scenes with series character favorites. I can't stand it when the original characters are 'forgotten' so to speak when a sequel or companion books are created. Abbi delivered this story exceptionally well and set the scene quite nicely for follow up and companion books. I have a great feeling the end of Rosemary Beach is nowhere in sight and that super excites me! An excellent 5 stars!!!! Review: Woods & Della FTW! - To put it lightly, this book completely wrecked me. Yes, I've read an Abbi Glines book before and I know she is known for her angst, and heartbreak. But this was that on a whole new level for me. And it wasn't all just Woods and Della causing my heart to constrict. Now, because I'm a HUGE Abbi Glines fan I have watched most of her ustreams and I heard her say that there were twist and turns in Simple Perfection that no one saw coming. So me, being the cocky reader that I am thought "oh it's nothing I haven't read before." Ummm... wrong. I didn't see any of her twists and turns coming and at the end I was left feeling a bit flabbergasted. I literally had no clue that she was going to take the series where she did. And while I understood it, it kinda broke my heart. But no worries, the heartbreak feeling wasn't towards Woods and Della... at least not at the end. "She is my perfection. She holds my heart in her hands. When she hurts it brings me to my knees." ~Woods We pick up almost right where Twisted Perfection left off. Woods is now head of the company and the house since his father has passed away and he an enormous amount of new responsibilities. His only stabilizer is Della. A little ironic, since she believes that she is the one upending his life and being a burden. Throughout the whole book, the love between Della and Woods is so palpable. Despite their ups and downs I didn't for a second believe their feelings ever wavered. But a misunderstanding causes Della to begin a journey of self-discovery, away from Rosemary Beach. This book was all about growth. Della finally breaks out on her own, and finds the person she was always meant to be, a strong, willful young woman. And Woods, despite his wants, lets her break out of her sheltered character on her own. I was really surprised at Woods' journey through this. Yes, it was mostly about Della finding herself, but Woods experienced a lot of trials as well. But, I think if they hadn't found a way to break free of their demons they would have come to a stalemate in their relationship, as well as their lives in general. "What if I was strong after all? What if, underneath all that fear, I had buried someone deep inside who was brave and could take on life without someone to lean on?" ~Della Woods is such a magnificent character. I want to go up to all the guys I know and make them read these books and say "hey, this is how a guy is supposed to act." Also, can I just say that despite the deeper, more meaningful parts of this book, the chemistry between Della and Woods is disgustingly hot, and magnetic. Like, if there were ever a book that I wanted to be my life... this might be the one. Granted, these two have gone through hell but, they also found each other and personally I think that is karma's works at its best. As for the other characters in the Rosemary Beach world. We get glimpses of fan faves Rush and Blair :D as well as the rest of the crew. One of the aforementioned, heartbreaking parts is a major upset in the group. I won't spoil it but, I seriously didn't think Ms. Glines was going to go through with what she started. I could not breath while reading the scene, and once it was over I had to set down my e-reader and take the rest of the day off from reading. It has its purpose, but it still sucked... big time. All in all, Abbi Glines has written another masterpiece. She delivers a superior story that both melted my heart and made me outright cry. And this is definitely a must read for 2013! Happy Reading!

After reading this book, I think it deserves much more than 5 stars. Exceeded my expectations with romance, drama and swoonyness (that finger is pointed at all the guys). I just loved and adored Woods. You know when Della would say she got weak in the knees? I thought I was going to melt. He was so dreamy and unfortunately, that's exactly what he is. Dreamy. No real Woods in the world for me. But, lets not make this book a depressing review. This book was written extremely and clearly written, yet, I was evident to what was going to happen. It was just so sad what happened and I wanted more Woods as soon as the book was done. It was interesting to see something from Bethy's point of view in this book. I got very frustrated with this book about half-way through because I wanted Della and Woods together the entire time but they separated for about 70 pages. It was good to see how they acted without one another to lean on the entire trip. I am honestly very sorry to see their chapter end, but another will appear that I feel I will appreciate just as much as this one, if not more. A read that any Abbi Glines fan can not skip. A must-read for all New Adult readers!

Simple Perfection by Abbi Glines 4.5 stars!! "She is my perfection. She holds my heart in her hands. When she hurts it brings me to my knees." I love an Abbi Glines book, you know what you are going to get and you know that it is going to be good and as usual Abbi Glines delivers with Simple Perfection. Woods, he is the epitome of a perfect gentleman and when he loves, he loves fierce! This comes through Abbi's writing crystal clear, there is nothing that Woods wouldn't do for Della. Woods was in a bad place at the end of Twisted Perfection as his father had just died. In Simple Perfection, he is dealing with the aftermath of his fathers death, his mothers unreasonable behaviour and his vile ex all while trying to keep the club running smoothly and while putting his own stamp on it. Despite everything that he is dealing with he still puts Della first, before everything. I must admit, sometimes he did come across as a bit "too much", I was worried that this may cause Della to panic, but she seemed to be handling it all in her stride. "You're my all-in, Della. I'll throw it all away for you. I just want you. I'm all in, baby. This life with you, I'm planning on us." Della, god I could have strangled her at times but she did grow in this book. She has a lot of internal demons to battle and she does struggle at times. She cannot really get a grip on the fact that Woods is unconditionally in love with her warts and all, she feels that she has become a burden to him, especially now that he is so busy and he is constantly looking out for her. I think that what she fails to realise at times is that they both need each other, they are good for each other and they are in fact soul mates. Will Woods manage to persuade her otherwise?? "That girl in the photo was scared. Of her past and her future. She was scared to love you. That's not me. I'm not scared anymore. My past is what made me who I am. My future...as long as I get to spend it with you, then I can't wait to live it. I'm going to be okay, Woods. I'm not going to...snap. I have a lot to tell you." There are a lot of surprises in this book and Abbi Glines "did go there" in this book. I was really surprised when that happened and I can see why she has done it but it didn't make it any easier to read about. This event not only affected Della and Woods but the whole gang and it will be interesting to see where this goes in the future. Della does learn a lot about her past in this book and what she does find out makes her future all the more rosy, perhaps these new snippets of information will give her the courage needed to get on with her life, rather than dwell on the possibilities that could have emanated from her past. "Heaven. This is my heaven. All I effing need to breathe," he said as he shifted his hips, moving in and out of me. Overall, this was a great read. I loved Simple Perfection and cannot wait to see where this series is going. Even though this one made me laugh and cry, I want to see their relationship develop even further, especially now that Della is more confident in herself and with the changes that Woods has made to his life, life for them can only get better.

This was so awesome. The death of a friend pulled at my hear. This series has been a great read. The narration is always a great bonus.
