Is this kind of hair dye? Or does it activate something in the hair itself to turn the gray hair darker?

It is not a dye. It seems to bring out the natural color of the hair and does so gradually. I have no idea how it works. It just does.

I also bought a hair relaxer. should i use the relaxer first then the youthair creme? or the youthair first then the relaxer?

Not sure, do more due diligence. I used it twice before my wife identified an ingredient that is a possible carcinogen and she threw it away. The same ingredient is why you can no longer buy Grecian Plus in the silver can which was foam. I suggest you hold off and I think any products with this in it will be taken off the market.

dear Sir/Mrs. I have been using Youthair for three weeks now and nothing has changed. i keep it sometimes for 12 hours. what could be the reason?

You may not be using enough. I use it after washing my hair (every morning) as a conditioner. I do not rinse it out. It does not remove all the gray completely, but makes it more of a salt & pepper color. Much better than total gray.
