Oscar, my little ginger menace, is notoriously picky about his food and yummies. I bought this and another flavor from this brand plus a couple other brands and let him choose. This was paws down his favorite. So he gets a couple when I have breakfast and a couple when I have supper, and after eating it, he explodes into super spunky monkey mode and runs all around, bouncing off walls and furniture like his tail is on fire. I think it’s safe to say he likes it?

My cats love these treats. One of my cats screams at me to give them a piece or 3 and has no issue chewing them down into smaller pieces as they chunks can be bigger than others. My other cat does not like them dry so as the bag advised to soften the treat I soaked a few pieces in water to soften the salmon chunks into more manageable pieces for them to eat. Once they are moistened they are easily broken into smaller pieces with your fingers or a fork. Also, since they are literally just freeze dried Salmon, my dog loves them as well! The back of the bag advises how many pieces to give per the pets' weight. I still only give 2 whole pieces broken down to one cat, my dog also only gets 2 pieces as she would eat the whole bag if I let her! I would definitely buy these again, though I wish the price wasn't so steep which is why I gave it 4 stars for the value.

My cats love it! 😸💗I put in blender to top their soft food. Chunks are a little big. So either chop or use scissors to cut in smaller pieces.

I have purchased this exact brand and product in the past and the salmon had a healthy pink-orange color and a flaky consistency that could easily be broken apart by hand. The latest bag I purchased had large cubes (about an inch) that could never be eaten by a cat unless it is a mountain lion or puma. The color was off, like a hot pink, and they were as hard as rocks. I tried smashing them apart for consumption and it was nearly impossible. After finally going a little passionately aggressive with a meat cleaver on a cutting board I managed to smash a few into smaller pieces. All 5 cats who were formerly obsessed with these treats turned their nose up at these. Thinking that this bag must have been contaminated with something to cause this, I contacted Amazon for a replacement only to be told these can’t be returned or replaced. What?? That’s what I get for not reading the small print. I wrote the company asking what the difference in this bag could possibly be, because at $33 this is a luxury that I’m not willing to just ignore, and I have not yet received a response. I won’t be purchasing these anymore because at $33 for cat treats I can’t risk another bag of rocks that can’t be replaced. First world problems, I know. Update: It has now been 1.5 weeks and the company never responded to my question about why the quality of this bag was different. Disappointing customer service to say the least.

I want to state for the record that every 2.5 oz bag of this product that I've purchased previously has been of excellent quality with no issues whatsoever. This is the first 7.5 oz bag I've bought, & this is the bag with this particular issue. Just received my package today on 12/27/25, & I had to request a refund via Amazon's chat for this product, as all the small pieces of salmon had somehow melded together into one huge chunk, even though the date of expiration is stated as o6/2027. I never even opened the package; you can feel this massive chunk through the packaging. I think the batch number for this is F2507, so the manufacturer may want to look into this.

My cats and dogs love these treats. They were shipped in a box so the packages were not crushed (I got freeze dried tuna and freeze dried salmon). I previously bought a different brand of freeze dried salmon and the pieces were like pellets and the cats wouldn’t eat them. This product is light and fluffy and the larger pieces are easily broken into smaller pieces. I highly recommend these treats for any finicky cat or dog. This product is a bit pricey but I think it is well worth it.

Have been using Small Packs of the Whole Life Pet Just One Salmon for years as it has no or minimal skin like many other Freezed Dried Salmon products. Found this Huge Pack - much more economical so ordered. This Large Pack (unlike small packs) has no window to see the product but has an INNER PRODUCT SHRINK BAG that you can't see. Compared the Dog Version to Cat version = same product and both can be crumbled or broken to smaller pieces as treats for your pet. Not sure of the Flavor but the CATs love it - so Must be tastey :). Thank you to the Customer Service team for educating me on the sealed inner bag.
