Bought this from Empire Tech and it’s Great
By far my most costly camera. Wanted a PTZ so why not buy a decent one. Spoke to Andy who suggested this one. Right now it’s mounted in my basement and connected to my system. It’s fantastic. I can read the label of a small box from across the room. It has loads of smart functions my other cameras do not have. It does have a small computer fan that runs 24/7 but I think they all do. This is made by Dahua. A+ seller and A+ product. Support was great also when I had a question the first day of ownership. August 2024 update to original post; It’s still great. That’s the abridged version. The long version; it’s mounted to the corner of my house. I spent a few hours getting it where I wanted it, and plasti dipping it black. It’s very big and very heavy. Just know that. My original intention was to set it to track anyone coming down my driveway which is maybe 200 feet long. After a lot of research I found out that these PTZ cams will only allow you a certain amount of motion before the software locks the function out and you have an expensive fixed camera. If it was moving a bunch of times every day, I was afraid in a year it would stop working. Additionally it was kind of embarrassing to have a huge camera automatically follow a neighbor who comes down our walk. So what is it good for? Its zoom is by far the best of any of my cameras. I zoomed it way in, pointed it through the trees, and in the morning can watch the entry road into my development for the kids bus. It’s a great camera. I can log in from anywhere in the world and point the camera wherever I want to see anything near or far on my property.
