*Edit* the company has reached out to me and helped me with my issue, great communication! I got these for my kids for Christmas in preparation for our yearly camping trip. They sounded so cool with the compas, fire starter, and whistle. Both if them broke within an hour if them opening them up. The buckle must be a cheap plastic as that's where they both broke. The compass has to be held just right for it to float freely on the needle. I definetly don't recommend this product

The individual elements are actually useable. Where it falls apart is when it's all put together. The whistle, paracord, compass, and ferrorod firestarter all work. The ferrorod can be difficult to strike due to its position between the plastic buckle arms. But the compass only works if you detach the bracelet. For some reason, the design of this positioned a very magnetically sensitive instrument right next to a highly magnetizable element (the steel striker). That means over time, whether it sits in one spot too long, or if used often as a firestarter, the striker will magnetize over time and completely render the compass useless. This design flaw exists on practically every survival bracelet out there. If you decide to get these, ALWAYS REMEMBER TO DETACH THE BUCKLE BEFORE NAVIGATING.

Bought this for my dad who enjoys hiking. Recently he’s had some accidents while hiking, like falling off the trail or taking a wrong turn and getting lost. These bracelets are lightweight, the quality is sturdy and has a whistle and compass on it. This is a great multi tool that you can wear and won’t weigh your pack down.

Good bracelet. The compass is accurate and the fire starter works. Its also handy how the bracelet can be ripped open in an emergency to get access to some pretty tough paracord. Whistle is pretty good, you need to give a good amount of air to it for it to be really loud.
