Well constructed, easy to wire, variable speed, braking on my Cincinnati Mill
My previous VFD experience: None My usage - home shop, powering 1970 era Cincinnati vertical mill My motor: 3-phase, 1 HP (4.6A @240V), ~1130 RPM Surprises: Needs enclosure (separately bought/built) to protect against exposed wiring Unit larger than expected, couldn't find a place to mount VFD on machine, wound up mounting it on shelf nearby. Can't use existing on/off/reverse switch on my mill (not recommended to put a switch in series between the VFD and the motor) The potentiometer knob on the front of the VFD has to be activated in the menu system Was expecting to run my motor past 60 Hz, discovered that isn't a good idea (not Teco's fault, my ignorance about 3-phase motors) The Good: Now have variable speed on my mill Now have braking so quill stops quicker (can set to 'coast' if desired) Well constructed, solidly built Easy to wire, all connections right up front Quick start guide fairly easy to follow The Bad: Wire connection screws can be backed out, difficult to get started back in holes

Seriously impressive little box.
This thing is incredible, I won't get into all the details that make it so versatile and awesome, no one has that kind of time. Just know that this thing is no joke it can kill you if the safety guidelines and procedures are not followed, seriously considering hiring a professional to assist in the installation and learning of its operations. That aside this thing is AMAZING! It allows you to do so much more than what the description says. It opens up a world of infinite possibilities the only limit is the user's imagination. More than that it allows the operator to really think limitlessly. That is something special right there.

Excellent VFD
I use mine to control the motor on my lathe and it is simply awesome. Easy enough to adjust and it works very well. I installed in an enclosure with a filtered 80mm fan for ventilation and it hasn’t reached a temperature above what I would consider warm to the touch. All my remote controls work as they should and were easy to hook up. I plan to buy a couple more for other machines in my shop.

Have never been able to get this workingq
It has never worked and I bought another one from my local electrical store, the exact same unit and it works just fine, The may have been a faulty unit,

Works well, not well documented
Product works well, once I figured out how to actually program the parameters. The manual is a little confusing. Couldn’t find where it stated to hold down on the enter button to make adjustments to the selected parameter. Once I figured this out it was easy.

High quality but
Using this to drive a 1 hp 3ph 1725 rpm motor on a disc sander. It works great except it faults out if I really load the motor hard - It gives current overload, but i guess thats what it should do. I'm not used to having to do a re-boot every time I overload a motor for 2 seconds. This vfd does a great job, and has good documentation, high quality , and the fan only runs when the motor is driven.

Three Stars
the machine constants are a pain to use. forward reverse is a pain without an external switch.

Nice Functionality, Easy to program.
This is a nice unit, much of the same features as the $8000 ABB's that I used to work with, in a small package. Fit and finish is nice. Only had it 2 weeks but I'm impressed so far. YT has videos to help you set it up if you're not familiar with freq drives.
