Great biography on this important artist.

This book was purchased to help my students understand Haring and his art but I love it my self! Such as beautiful book with knowledge and inspiration for artists young and old

Very cool book about an influential artist. Taschen is an awesome publisher.

I bought this book as a gift for an artist friend who is a huge fan of Keith Haring and who takes a lot of inspiration from Haring’s work. He was thrilled with it and keeps telling me long after receiving it how much he loves it.

If you love Keith Haring‘s art you’ll love this book. But if you think this is different than the original you will be disappointed except for by size, it’s a bit smaller. 2.0 is deceiving.

Another great Keith Haring book dedicated to his prolific, yet short art career. There are more books with more images but this is a nice collection with some images unique to this book.

I witnessed Haring's work when they first appeared in the subway stations I took every day to school. Nobody knew who did them, but everybody commented on them. He didn't reveal who he was for a long time as the drawings would mysteriously change. It was mindblowing as his themes evolved. I did not see this evolution in this book. It just concentrated on the themes that became famous. I guess they could only showcase his commercial stuff, since his subway art was ephemeral.

This book gave me a whole new appreciation for Keith Haring. At first glance, his figures and lines might seem simple, but after reading this, every piece feels so much more complex, layered, and moving. The balance between visuals and text was excellent, enough background to understand his life, politics, and context, but without overshadowing the power of the images themselves. What struck me most was how perfectly Haring walked the line between joy and resistance. His art is playful, bright, and accessible to everyone, but also deeply political, tied to activism and urgent social issues. The duality really moved me, the way his joyful and darker works exist side by side, mirroring the moods and contradictions of life itself. I came away from this book feeling much closer not only to Haring as an artist, but to his artwork. It’s democratic and radical at the same time, and that feels timeless.

Such a good reflection of the life and works of Keith Haring. Going through the stages of his work, his collaborations and connections, and the different media he used to express himself, this offers a great glimpse into the world of one the modern art's icons.
