*Updated: The first battery seemed to not hold a charge that well despite many tries. It was under their warranty in which I had bought under "Zooms". I reached to their new company name "Redodo". Quickly Lillian responded and sent me another "Zooms" battery to test out. She's been patient throughout and trusting of me. As things moved past the holidays into the new year I was truly unsure at first but we communicated throughout. I believe I got it figured out now. For me it is best to charge around 15 amps. When I charge faster it seems to also consume power quicker as well.. Also when it drops down to 10% or less it gets more unstable which I now use it as a sign to charge up as I don't want to leave it in that state. I use both solar to charge and also an AC to DC adapter. I think it's safe to say this a great battery. Taking into account line power loss and inverter efficiency I am able to run this thing 80%+ capacity almost each time. Redodo is priced slightly higher than competitors. Their products are reliable and high quality. Have stuck with brand in solar configuration because like with like is good a thing to pay attention to. These units equalize and share information with each other respectively. As rule of thumb never best option to mix and match if you have a choice not to, regardless of which brand you choose. This was purchased for a seperate project mated up to a 12V 100W flexible panel for vehicle peripherals; C.B. radar detector and dash cam will all be powered off 50Ah battery. My Redodo has always arrived with 13.15V charge! Delivery by FedEx is fast and dependable

2 parts to this review. The short version first (the TL;DR), then the detailed review later. (Oh, My GOD....please stop talking!!) I bought this 50Ah battery specifically because of the 3.2 volt cells inside, wired in series for 12.8 volts. They're tough, built like a tank & last for many years. Off-grid cabins use these cells, only larger. It doesn't have the silver-ish colored battery packs (like a cellphone does) or the 18650 cells clumped together, like portable power stations & similar products & other 12 volt batteries do. Yes, I know those are just Lithium & not Lithium Iron Phosphate. Big difference there. You really DO get what you pay for here! Good Grade A automotive cells with a BMS all in one package. It arrived here with 13.18 volts but couldn't test the amperage as my multimeter only goes to 10 amps. So I hooked it up to the charge controller, plugged in the panel & it took 380 watt hours to reach absorb mode (14.2 volts) For 2 hours it absorbed, then switched to float & the voltage dropped S L O W L Y....to 13.5. Full charge! Only took around 7 hours to reach absorb.. So yes, please charge (a LiFePO4 charger ONLY!) this fully before using it. The voltage on arrival was good, but the capacity just wasn't there...YET! It's easy to be fooled, as we're used to lead acid batteries & how they work. This is NOT that kind of rodeo with a LiFePO4 battery! Part two: What I bought it for... This battery replaces a 35Ah AGM lead acid battery for a portable solar kit I pieced together, used for dry camping (or car camping) or just to have power when shore power isn't available. I DO live in hurricane country so it's nice to have at least 100 watts of free power as a backup. That kit consists of a 100 watt flexible mono panel (weighs about 4 pounds) feeding into a Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT charge controller. This Redodo is just a bit larger than the 35Ah AGM I took out, but I found some foam padding that can be placed inside the group 29 battery box to make everything snug & easily transportable without rattling around, & the charge controller sits nicely on top of the foam. It's not pretty, but it works...& that's the name of the game here. It! Just! Works! All the accessories I use for camping either are 12 volt direct, 12 volt rechargable, or USB. No need for 120 volts...I'm not running a restaurant! Charging the cellphone, the portable TV (hey...gotta keep entertained at night...right??), run a small fan & have lights at night That's all I need. I no longer have to monitor the battery for the dreaded 50% Depth of Discharge curse! I can take a LiFePO4 WELL beyond that level & still get more cycles out of it than I can the AGM. But since that AGM is around 10 years old, I've seen a decrease in power retention or how much power it delivers, so it was time to upgrade (& futureproof!) the battery to a LiFePO4. I can't comment on the longevity of this battery, since I just received it about a month ago & have only used it for three days & nights, camping. But if the vendor's claim of at least 10,000 cycles is true, it will last for many years. As far as value for the money goes, only time will tell. Good products will last for many, many uses & will need little to no attention or maintenance. Bad products are tossed into the bin, vendors are notified & refunds are mandated. Nobody gets angry, everyone keeps their cool, it's just a business transaction that didn't work out. That's only fair, right? Redodo, at the present time, I'm happy with the purchase. It does what it claims to do & I can't ask for more. Thank you!

This product arrived damaged and redoodo will not honor the warranty. Upon initial charging the battery started smelling like burning plastic and quit charging. They at first appeared to act helpful and suggested there was an issue with my charger after proving it was the. Battery and not my charger, they quickly changed their attitude and tone. Furthermore the warranty on amazon says if arrives damaged then I can apply for a refund, bc it is against federal laws to shipped used or damaged lithium batteries In the mail. I'm not going back to prison for somebody else's negligence or misdeeds. As it looks. Now I will have to take this loss at the worst time possible..this was a gift for my child. After losing his mother imtrying to nurture our bond together. Looks like a failure on both fronts actually..never again redodo..I will stick with my current battery manufacturer. Though I'd give you a chance to earn some customer loyalty from me. Looks you will lose out on the more lucrative of longterm investment opportunities after all, investing in your customers...

I bought 3 of these, 1 has failed in under 1 year. Support is emailing China there is about 12hr time difference. So took a week of emails to get a return authorization after multiple troubleshooting steps all taking a day due to time difference. Altogether 3 weeks and waiting. Batteries do live up to all the lithium promises, but dealing with China is slow.

Its running on a 200 watt solar station, Powering a 43 qt. cooler. Plus charging a 299 watt hr. Power station. The cooler draws 43 watts at start up, and after 30 seconds, levels out at 32 watts. And turns on and off. Plus charging devices, Running a fan. Light. Pretty impressive.

Great packaging. Walled polyethylene foam. Keep the box and foam for storage. Foam can be placed under the battery as an insulator for keeping the battery warm. Great customer service, follow up after delivery and easy to contact. 29 April 2024- Follow up. Great battery, I have two now and swap them out now. Great portable power with a 500 W at inverter, will last much longer than an "all in one power box". I have read reports stating the battery loses charge overnight. This is not factual. Read the batter manuals! Life PO charging for 12.7 V at 100 % charge = ( 13.33V). To balance the cells, the mppt or wall charger will over charge to 14.4 - 14.6 V before the BMS stops the charge process. Then, after the battery sets for 12-24 hours, it will show a drop to the 13.33V dc reading. This is not a loss of power; but a settling down of the balancing electron overcharge to the 100% charge SOC (State of charge) battery manual level for 12.7V lifepo4 manuals. In a 50 AH bat, you will typically use 80% before BMS shutdown. On youre MPPT charge controller, it will show that 35-40 amps as having been put back into the battery on the MPPT "after charge" live readout. Get a quality battery two decimal place LED screwdriver meter for better understanding, keep considering results of discharge and charge to the manufacturer's SOC manual rating and confusion of when to charge and disconnect will be resolved.

I use this battery for portable HF radio power and it works perfectly.

It holds charge longer and weighs 5 times less. I used it on a trolling motor and it lasted for hours of moderate-speed trolling. Worth the money. I used to have a 100Ah marine battery. It weighed 60 lbs, took forever to charge and did not last as long. Lithium is the way to go.

I've had the 50ah battery for about a year and used it in outdoor equipment. It's performed flawlessly until today. I'm in Toronto. The weather here was -4 C today and the battery is totally defunct. I'm assume the BMS has shut it down. Will investigate further. It did seem like the battery went through other days at these temps without any problem....so I'm not sure what's going on. Update: I was able to charge the battery and all is well. I must have drained the battery. Customer support at Redodo was excellent. The battery can discharge down to -20c, but it can only charge above 0 deg.C. this may be one of the issues causing it to lose charge in winter.

I recieved the battery and used it in my campers. Stored over the winter and when i took it out it wouldnt charge. I contacted the company and they were very prompt in getting back to me. They asked some questions and asked that I perform some tests which I did, but to no avail. I was speaking to Tina and she sent me a self addressed return and I packed it up. I received an update the next day that they got the battery. Tina sent out another one 2 days later and I got it in one day. Outstanding response and service. Good to know they stand behind their products. Would gladly buy again.
