Needed a larger base for a light I purchased. This kit came with multiple mounting options and is great quality for the price. It also worked well with a light I got from a completely different brand.

Oversized canopy but wrong hardware and nonsense directions
These are OK. It's difficult to find a 6" canopy. Hopefully the plating will hold up OK. The directions are for something else. It looks like they had a bunch left over from an actual chandelier and stuck them in the package, the directions shows a chain and hook, side screws. Bizarre. You are on your own figuring out how to make these work. Be prepared to head to the hardware store for 8/32 nuts to hold the cap nut screws in place, and double swivel install bar. Used these for the sconce lights I made, and once they were up, they really did look nice. YOU WILL NEED TO BUY 8/32 hex nuts (one under and one above the screws) and a new swivel type mount for this canopy.

Just what I was looking for
Needed this 6 inch canopy kit to retrofit a new flush mount ceiling light. When i took off old light the hole that was cut was to big. This size was able to cover up bad cut in drywall without doing plaster work. Also came with all necessary hardware for quick easy install

Covers a Halo recessed fixture opening at a 45 degree angle
Used to cover a Halo recessed fixture that is at 45 degree (ceiling) angle. Successfully covered the entire opening. thus enabling the hanging of a hanging light fixture.

Sturdy Canopy with a Good Paint Job. USELESS Hardware
If you want screwless canopies, these are the ones to get. The paint is semigloss and quite thick. They look great. HOWEVER, as other reviewers have pointed out, plan to supply your own hardware: The kit provided is clearly intended for a canopy with 2 screws/posts - it just flat doesn't work with this screwless version. If it helps, and you have some M10 lamp tube, cutting (and deburring!) a piece to about 1-3/8" will result in the tube sticking through the canopy by about 1/2", give or take - just about right for a "side screw" type strain relief / cable gland. YMMV will vary depending on how close the edge of your j-box is to the ceiling surface - adjust length accordingly!
