Waste, complete waste.
It is SO not comparable to a half-pan. I heard rave reviews of these colour sheets everywhere, you name it, Instagram especially is flooded with their ads and influencers. I definitely got conned, not buying ever again. I'll give my honest, absolutely not influenced, paid out of my own savings review. 1. I HATED the quality of colours. They are priced like the small pocket set of a premium watercolour brand (talking in INR) , but if you ask me, I'd vote for Camel Artist over this rubbish any day. And hey, I think I'm in a good position to comment on the quality, having used almost all the premium brands like Daniel Smith, M. Graham, W&N, Sennelier, Rembrandt, Mijello, you name it. Poor quality. 2. Comparable to half pans? Is this supposed to be a joke? What did the testers paint with it, a square inch of paper a day? I travel a lot and yes, paint a lot too. A half pan of colour would typically last me quite a long time. This one, barely covered a year (I'm talking covid year- so barely any travel in there). Poor quantity. 3. This is a TRAVEL kit for heaven's sake. The least anybody could ask for is a waterproof cover. The design is such that if you are unlucky to have a leaky bottle or anything at all in your travel bag along with this piece of trash, be prepared to toss it out. Or else pack it up nicely in a plastic bag or whatever. I'd like to travel without that headache. Thank you. All in a, I think I wasted my money. I will stick to my little travel palette (Altoid tin can fit in 15 pans) which I made with small half-pans filled with REAL watercolour that last a while and give rich pigment AND is economical, instead of this sad excuse for a travel set. Why am I writing all this? At least someone might find this helpful. Thank you. Oh, another reason I got Viviva was this looked a lot like Fuji water colour sheets, something I saw my mother use about 20 years ago. For nostalgia's sake I got this, unable to find the Fuji ones.(which later I found anyway, the quality will beat Viviva anyday. Even now.) So, the idea wasn't novel at all.

These watercolors are vibrant colors, incredibly easy to use, transport well so you don't have to carry a large paint set, neat/no-fuss clean up. I bought some of the brushes you fill the container with water as well--perfect! I have since bought other sets to give to friends who paint. First saw both of these that a friend had brought to PNG since they are so compact and portable, while producing a great product.

This is very vibrant and long lasting paint. I have purchased it 2 times and been exceptionally happy with it.

I bought this just out of curiosity, and found the presentation to be lovely. The actual technique of using the colors was somewhat off putting as it was difficult to transfer the colors to a pallet in order to get a larger amount. Instead I needed to wet the color patch several times to get enough of a color to do something with. That said, the colors are so intense-- nearly black in some cases, that many brush washings were necessary to dilute the pigment to a medium value, and even more to get it in light form. Nonetheless I was able to make nice pieces with both hyper-intense colors and pastels. In all the little set was well worth the money and most interesting to play around with.

This little booklet I magic. Seriously, what kind of wizardry have these folks engaged in to put such high quality, rich and GORGEOUS pigmented dry watercolors onto these small pages?? When I used for the first time to make a swatch, I was so surprised at how little I needed on the brush. This paint will last much longer than one might think upon receiving it. I touch the brush to one teeny tiny space on the color and *gently* swirl to pick up the perfect mount of color. If you use lots of water or swirl all over you may use it up faster. Of course washes or covering larger areas will require more paint, but you will not want for COLOR! The colors blends well, and the slight complexities in various lighting and i noticed some ever so slight shimmer (to the blues especially) make my heart swoon! Why are you still reading? Put this in your cart! *No, I'm not a paid sponsor-I just love a good product and believe in lifting people up!
