This is the second time I buy this product. Last time I got the 4 piece combo and lasted for a whole year. I’m latino, with curly hair and this works incredibly. This is the best gel I’ve used in my entire life. I’m an attorney and law teacher, and this gel strongly holds my hair from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM (exactly what I need). It also makes your hair glows a bit, and in my experience (1 year) it never left flakes on my hair. If you need your hair sharp for several hours I recommend this product. Here some tips: 1. always apply the product on wet hair. 2. Always apply a good portion. 3. Once you get done with you hairdo, try to dry it with a fan for 2 mins (this trick allows me to get a better performance of the product. However it’s not necessary). This is not a paid review, I just try to review everything I buy on amazon, and this one really deserves a good one.

This stuff turned my nappy natural edges into a sleek, smooth, Sade-looking ponytail. This stuff is miraculous. And it dries hard but not too hard that it's not touchable. I've used it to slick my edges when I wear my hair out, the slick my edges when I wear a full wig so nothing is popping out, and to create a fake hairline with a lacefront wig, After applying the product for 2 or 3 days you either need to put a warm rag on to loosen it up a bit or skip a day and just use water to semi-reactivate it (although it won't hold as long and strong that way). I have no complaints about this product.

I have two very active little boys and no matter what hair gel we used, their hairstyles always ended up falling out. When we tried this gel, that was no longer a problem. This hair gel is great and their hair styles last all day long. The gel comes out a yellow color, and really does kind of look like snot (which my boys think is pretty funny). It applies clear unless you get a big clump or something. But when applied evenly and properly, it does not leave any color in their hair. If you apply a minimal amount then it doesn't feel crunchy or gross but still has decent hold. If you apply more (which I do, with two toddlers), there is that sort of crunchy hard-gel type feeling, but that's what you're going to have if you want an extreme hold that will last through an entire day of play and mayhem. Long story short, we love this gel and won't be buying any other kinds now that we've found it!

I am Natural and have been for a while. I use to Hicks Edge Control which I thght was the best thing since slice bread to hold edges, before I was turned on to this Gorilla Snot. Honey let me tell you, this Snot holds edges and hair back for days. I can pin my natural hair in a bun on the top of my head and wrap with a scarf and in 20 mins its completely dry and slick as a newborn baby's hair on its head. This stuff works wonders...Now it is sticky when first applying and it hardens quick. Also good price for 3, $12 bucks not bad at all!

If you keep this in for a long time it will start to turn white and look dandruff like in your hair. You definitely don't want that! I really love this product and I wouldn't be surprised if anybody else was too. So for some advice just put water on your hair when your using it, and occasionally if you are planning on keeping it on for a long time. And if you have curly hair like mine....OMG it brings out your curls!, but eventually you have to wash it out. But if you are a busy person this is good, just make sure you wash it out. If you are not that picky about your hair you can even just put some in really quickly and let it work and go. I'm not sure about other textured hair but this works REALLY well on African American textures, no matter your hair type it really brings out those hidden curls.

This is ridiculous for the amount I paid for this I would expect it to me bigger than this and when I open the package post of the product was spilled inside I wouldn’t recommend people getting this for people with natural 4c hair because I can finish this in one day don’t waste your money on this it’s not worth it.

IF you can get over the name (snot?) without laughing yourself silly, this is a great buy! Not only did I get 3 nice large bottles, but this stuff is really good. There isn't much that will stay in my fine, thin hair - most products begin to fail about an hour after I use it, even stuff that is supposed to freeze your hair in place!! I like this gel and it does have a great hold, nice scent and when it's on your hands, you simply rinse with warm water and it's off. I love this product!
