Camco 50amp plug
I was very pleased with the receptacle. I was looking for one with a handle on the back, based on previous experiences. I used 6-3 awg for a generator plug. When screwed back together the plug was very solid. The directions were helpful on how long to cut the wires before trying to install.

Great replacement.
Excellent replacement for one that burned and melted. Works great, doesn’t get too hot. We are using it on a Keystone Montana 3725RL 40ft fifth wheel camper. No assembly needed. Seems durable. It’s waterproof so far (lol). We’ve had no problems with this plug.

A great product.
Having a handle attached to this plug end makes this a great product. It's a well thought out, well manufactured/designed product. This plug end was attached to the end of a twenty-five foot SOOW, 10/4 cable to be used as a jumper between an emergency generator and an electrician installed, 50A RV receptor on the side of the house next to the electric service box for easy service disconnect. Plug ends this hefty are hard to pull out, especially if inside an all weather outlet cover box where there's little room to maneuver your hand. With the addition of the handle, the plug end is much easier to remove. This is a good thing. :) The assembly takes a bit of time at the project table as the leads have to be cut and stripped to specific lengths specified in the directions. It's not a difficult task, but it is a bit of a time consuming pain to make sure it's measured and done right. The more care one takes in cutting and stripping the cable wires to well defined direction specs, the more easily the assembly will go. Tip: When assembling the cable strain relief collar, add a dab of latex/siliconized caulk to the inside and outside of the strain relief collar as well as the small gap between the strain relief collar and the plug body. This will help keep snow and water out which will effectively make the plug end more water resistant. Doing so also gives the plug end a more finished look/feel. Warning: Adding the caulk in this fashion won't make the plug-end "waterproof." A cable end of this kind will be used out in the weather and considering the amps this plug-end is designed to push, "more" water resistant is a good thing; peace of mind. I found this product to be the top dog of this group and for those with a "Prime" membership, two-day shipping is included. At current gas prices, this eliminates the need to drive to a RV or hardware store hunting for an item of this kind.

Great item
This is a solid item at a great price; utilized cheaper items with bad results. This was easy to assemble. I also used electrical tape around the wires to provide a better install

Quality Plug !!! No regrets after install and hard use.
I don't write many reviews but was most impressed with this plug. #1) the plastic is sturdy, no concerns with durability. #2) The handle makes pulling it out of the socket a breeze. #3) the cable retention design allows for various sizes of cable through a unique design. #4) The wire connection allows for excellent contact with the blades. #5) I measured the temperatures of the socket under about 38amps of load and only measured a couple degree rise. I saw some photos of failed sockets with folks charging their Tesla's. That is probably closer to the rated 50A but can't imagine an issue with that if you get good wire insertion and contact. Finally, I saw some comments about how it was difficult to tighten the screws. I attached a picture showing how the blades remove so that you can get good torque on the connections. No regrets, bought two of them for generator connections.

Wired 6 awg on this plug with ease. Each connector tabs are removable so that screwing the terminals are tight and give a clean job. Used it with a Weatherproof Outdoor RVGUARD 50 Amp 125/250 Volt Power Outlet Box, Fits and locks.

Installation was a bit more difficult than it needed to be since the wires need to be cut to a precise length so it required some messing around but it has given us zero issues. I would recommend it, just really take your time when you cut your wires.

These "handle" plugs are great for mobile/movable equipment, they make it easier and safer to pull out, good for small generators and small mig welders on wheels.
