SKIL RT1323-01 Router Table and 10Amp Fixed Base Router Kit

This is an incredible value, seriously. From Skil, I know. The router is excellent, the table is a cinch to set up, and it works great. For those who need a second router table, or portable router table, this is an excellent choice. The top access to the up/down router adjustment works well, it has plenty of power for grooving, round overs, and most precision work. I would not use it for panel raising operations, but it will do just about anything else.

For what you pay this is a very nice tool. I used this to make pieces for kitchen cabinets including tongue and groove for five foot section of plywood bottom. You do have to be careful working with large pieces. The feathering blocks included very very helpful for holding wood in place while routing edges. Took was straight forward to assemble out of the box. Just make sure you line up the height adjustment on router to the correct hole and everything is easier. Router itself worked fine. I like the slow start motor and light. I used a Home Depot bucket head vacuum to help clear sawdust, seemed that work reasonably well. I do recommend hooking up some kind of dust collection system to make it easier to see your work. Tool has two outlets built into switch on table, so you can make vacuum and router come on together if you want. Clamped table to workbench using one c-clamp and had no troubles with my work. However, better to use two clamps or bolt it down if you can. Storage areas are handy. “Quick” change and mounting not all that quick and you should check that connections and settings are secure while you work as things can shake loose with any router systems. I did not have any issues with bits floating up or down, so clamps and settings worked well for me. The fence system also worked well for my project, but I can see where it may not be suited for very fine detail work. However, for table and router I don’t think you can beat the price.

Nice little router table. The ability to micro adjust the height setting from above using the provided tool is game changing. The Skil router that’s included is awesome! I used this to build my kitchen cabinet doors and they turned out great! The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because of the fence. It has a little flex and I could never get it to stay completely still. I ended up putting a metal fence on it and now it works as an expensive competitor. Overall, you can’t find a better complete setup for this price.

I waited awhile to complete a few projects before writing the review. I'm now 3 projects in and feel I've gotten to know the machine pretty well. Important note, I only use the router attached to the table. I have a handheld and plunge for hand use. Table: Assembly: easy, some may find the table a bit fiddly to assemble but it's a 15 minute job and pretty straight forward. The table and fence are laminate covered mdf, very solid. I comes with multiple hold downs to keep your work from slipping or jumping away from the router, the work well. Though I would actually like 2 more of them. The legs are plastic and actually pretty sturdy. I had read reviews talking about the table not being sturdy. I dud not experience this at all. Of course. I clamped the table down to my workbench to prevent it from moving. The legs have storage in each, this is the one thing I have a rub against. It's just not well designed. But it wasn't a selling point for me so no big deal. Router, I've used it thusfar on mdf, pine, and cherry and it powered though it all with no issues. The parts I worked were up to 4'6" and I felt comfortable at all times. The router absolutely has the power. Since I use it exclusively in the table I was happy to see a quick release allowing me to remove the router from the table with ease. My last table required me to remove the mounting screws. The router also has a quick adjust feature allowing you to drop or raise the body quickly by pushing a button, then dial in hour height with the geared adjuster. This makes swapping out bits much easier. The router also has a slow start when you power it up. It prevents that jerk in your hands from tge torque of the router when you start it up. Not as important for a table mounted router but a nice feature nonetheless. Lastly, I love that I can hook my shop vac plug into the table power so that it starts up and shuts off as I power the router up and down. Ultimately this is a great value, I paid the same for the router and table as I would have for just the table of similar quality. I'm very happy with the purchase and would absolutely buy it again.

Router and table are both of good quality. The way the router mounts to the table is unique, and quite helpful. The Tool/router bit holders on the sides of the table could be handy (I don't use them), for someone that leaves the table out all the time. Router motor is smooth and quiet. This was the cheapest router & table available, and it does 100% of what the more expensive sets does.

An amazing combo set. The router is beyond praise - accurate, powerful, convenient, reliable, with a soft start. The table is not quite as good as I would like, but you have everything to start working. Assembly is straightforward and I never looked at the owner's manual - everything is clear and understandable. The table assembled and secured to the stand turned out to be surprisingly durable. Initially, I wanted to use only the table top, believing that the plastic sides would not be durable enough, but after checking the strength, I decided to leave it as is and not spoil such beauty. Overall, I am very glad that I bought this set.

For a combo tool that probably costs less than one of the components it’s a great deal. It works very well and is very sturdy and accurate. I mostly use it for edge molding and jointing rough boards. It works great for both. The fence is a little shaky for jointing so I made a wood fence or use a bit with a guide and aluminum strip. Good product for a reasonable cost!

Arrived ok. Looks good but can’t use it as the plug is USA standard. Would have been useful to know this in advance. It turns out you need a step down voltage converter £90. It should be made clear at the point of purchase that this is not compatible with UK mains voltage.

There may be options out there with more features, but not at this price point. The set has a real quality feel and works great. I mostly use the router with the table since I also have a palm router for hand held work. I guess my only minor complaint would be the side storage for router bits. It's ok but could have been designed a little better. I might have to 3d print some better shelves for that area.

Es una mesa muy práctica y versátil para tus trabajos con el router. Procura comprarla cuando esté en forma para que sea una excelente compra. El router es muy bueno con una excelente potencia, trae luz led y viene con el colet de 1/4 y de 1/2. Jala excelente con fuerza para utilizar fresas de 1/2. La mesa en si es de mdf con recubrimiento como de melamina por lo que tendrás que cuidar de no mojarla para prolongar su vida útil. Si eres aficionado a la carpintería o vas iniciando en este medio es una excelente aditamento para tu taller y para poder realizar diversos trabajos con muy buena precisión. Yo encantando con esta mesa y este router.

I use this router table combo as a beginner to make some cabinet doors. I was able to make shaker style and Roman Ogee style doors with it and they came out great. The only issue I would have to say is that getting the fence dialed in can be tricky sometimes but it's definitely doable with a bit of practice. You have to use a straight edge twist down all the plastic knobs that hold the fence in place tightly but don't overdo it. Once you get it in place don't touch it. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase as a beginner woodworker. It practically paid for itself I was able to complete a garage shop cabinet build, a laundry room build and a few bathroom built-ins.
