Forget elgato this does what you need at 1/10th of the price!
This is the best thing I've ever gotten for the price. Forget the elgato this is all you need if you use HDMI. It has pass through and you can play it with no input lag. It works right out the box no drivers needed. Perfect for obs streaming or even streaming to your friends on discord. Has a USB port for video to go into the device and a HDMI for out of the device to your tv. Anda USB for your PC. It works perfectly fine and it's mad dependable. Pretty heavy and sturdy too. Plug and play right out the box its compatible with any OS and can be seen as a camera on discord. It gets a bit warm when you use it but as long as you give it breathing room you're golden. 10/10 product screw elgato. This gives you exactly what you need for just a quarter of a price

Great capture card for a low price
THIS CAPTURE CARD IS STILL WORKING AFTER 5 YEARS OF USE 10/10 IF YOU'RE BALLING ON A BUDGET . IF YOU'RE ON PS5 MAKE SURE YOU BUY A EXTERNAL MIC FOR YOUR PS5 SO YOU COULD TALK WITH YOUR FRIENDS also download the hdcp tool on evga website if your having problems with that

Barely Noticeable latency but has audio delay on capture card
It works perfectly fine. I don't know what some people are talking about. If they say its not working on ps5. It's because you have to turn off HDCP in your ps5 settings. Just search up how to turn it off. One issue I have with it. Is if you're listening to the audio through the capture card. The audio is not synced up correctly. It's significantly delayed when it comes to audio. For a lot of people. If you're recording/ or streaming then it's pretty significant. Though, The actual latency is like none existent. Quality is good. Maybe there is a way to fix the audio delay on the capture card.

Amazing Price to Utility
My whole build is pretty much EVGA at this point, it's so reliable. I just bought a B-stock RTX 3050 for them and wanted to start a Fallout gaming channel. I couldn't find anything decent for under $100 til thankfully Amazon recommended this. It is not the end all be all, it is no elgato, but if you want to experiment with capping professionally or only cap casually then it is the perfect item and price! It captures 1080p60 very well. There are some briefs stutters and such in intense moments but I think it's more so for me to refine in OBS via encoding and other tweaks. It works very well in it's current state though, and even what I have now 'out of the box' is very acceptable, just not perfect. But for $50 I don't expect it to be perfect. It does what it advertises very well and very plug and play. This would also be an amazing price to value for a first capture card for a curious youngin'.

A Good Device at a Good Price
Works fine straight out of the box, firmware updates are easy and painless, and works well with all sorts of recording software like AmaRecTV, OBS, Xsplit, etc. Input lag is unnoticeable, however, slight audio lag may be an issue depending on the software you're using to record/monitor. Will NOT work with devices that use HDCP protection, like the Playstation 3 or most media streaming devices. This could be easily bypassed with an HDMI splitter, though, so I won't knock a star off for that. All in all, a great deal for a surprisingly great device.

Works perfectly
Great budget capture card. I purchased this item to capture HDMI video from my older consoles and it works great. The audo and video sync with no issues. It works well with OBS as well. I teted this capture card with a PS5 and it workd fine in 1080P.

Works good enough
I wanted a capture card to stream my Nintendo Switch for a charity function and my old Elgato HD was no longer supported and couldn't seem to get it working, so I found this on sale and the price was right for me to roll the dice on it, and I'm glad I did. Setup was extremely easy. Driver install was lightning fast. I was up and running in like 5 minutes, not even joking. Side note: The output could use a separate audio/aux port for people who need to output the sound to a separate device, and maybe that's on the pro version. But I was sending the video to a monitor that didn't have speakers so I needed a way to get the audio out to external speakers and ended up Macgyvering something to get it working so I could output the audio to the stream and have it play through my speakers at the same time.

Where are my cables?

This capture card is really very hard to beat in its price to performance ratio. I plugged it in and it worked straight out of the box to capture my PS5 gameplay on my PC. If you're looking for a relatively budget friendly capture card, this is the one to choose.

A very simple capture card which requires only plugging in a HDMI source, and then connecting via USB to PC. Setup in OBS is relatively simple, and zero latency - perfect for streaming a game to PC so that you can play in real-time while reading chat feeds in a neighbouring window.

Excellent quality capture card for 1080p 60fps, and < 1f latency through OBS...if you configure it properly. Make sure you're using a proper USB 3.0 cable, plugged directly into a USB 3.0 port on your computer or it won't detect properly; this thing hates docks/splitters. Also make sure you install the latest firmware. HOWEVER, despite the extremely low video latency, there's still a ton of audio latency so you'll need a different output for that (Dualshock/Dualsense controller, DAC plugged into your console, etc) if you want to play games through OBS. Also, every review calling this thing cheap is based on a lower price than as of July 2023 - the original MSRP was ~$70 USD and went on sale for as low as ~$40 USD on occasion, but right now it's ~$150 CAD, or even ~$140-190 USD on Amazon.com. I found mine for $106 CAD used, which is closer to the "cheap" recommendation everyone else is gushing about.

So this isn't my first capture card, but I've been using my last one for ~8 years, and I figured it was time for an upgrade. After opening the box I noticed that the innards of the capture card sounded loose, and I was worried that I got it DOA, but I plugged it in to be sure, and it works! Better yet the lag is small enough that I could play games off of the recording window. Using my last card there were many times where I had to either reset OBS before the card properly powered on, or I had to unplug it, turn everything on, and then plug it back in; so it's refreshing that this card doesn't have any similar problems
