I needed a toy chest that would look nice in my living room but also match the existing furniture we have. Why spend all the money on nice bookshelves and entertainment centers then add a junky looking toy chest? I wasn’t okay doing that, so I decided to bite the bullet and order this handmade chest. I took a gamble on the Asbury Stain and it matched perfectly- couldn’t be happier. The size is perfect, too! Any hesitation I may have had before ordering completely disappeared when this beautiful chest was delivered and I saw it in person. This is a gorgeous piece of furniture and matches my existing dark wood furniture perfectly. I didn’t want to buy something that looked cheap and wouldn’t hold up, and this piece is solid, made with excellent craftsmanship; 100% worth every penny. As for my concerns about delivery, it arrived securely packaged and surrounded by styrofoam, with not even a scratch on it, and ahead of schedule! I feel bad for the delivery guy because it was not a light package. I let the chest sit in my garage for a couple days after it was delivered as it still had a slight stain odor, but that did the trick. Please don’t waste your time searching the internet for a nicely made chest that won’t fall apart for less than $400. Just go with this one, save yourself the hours of searching (I did that for you), and enjoy something you’ll be happy to look at everyday.

I’m too busy for reviews, but this treasure deserves 10 stars if were allowed. My chest arrived within two days and well packed. I had reservations about spending $500 for an Amazon purchase, but it’s more than worth the price charged. It’s beautiful, well crafted, and will last generations.

This is a rare product that is of excellent quality and well worth the price. Rarely does anything rate this well with 92% 5-star ratings when I ordered this product. I confirm that the ratings do justice due to the quality of the product. It comes fully assembled and is very well packaged for shipment. There is little chance for damage during transport. The construction is very solid, made of solid natural wood with quality hinges. There are well-placed hand holes for moving. Very importantly, the color is exactly as indicated in the pictures. The chest arrived earlier than the promised delivery date, with total shipping time being 3 days. While there are both lower and higher priced chests of the same size, I suggest that you spring for this item over any lower priced chest, if that is at all possible. You will not be disappointed!

Awesome craftsmanship! The perfect color. Great lid closure. The chest is solid and we will sometimes use as a bench. Got a sage green cushion and it goes well with the wood color. I would purchase again, but the seller needs to please use something other then styrofoam, that breaks into tiny statically charged balls for packaging. I unboxed outside, but some of the styrofoam still finds it way inside. It becomes airborne and it’s a pain to clean up. Also, it is not recyclable. I would prefer the packaging peanuts that dissolve in water or anything else.
