Excellent quality cables, well worth buying

My new PC has a digital coaxial audio output, which is something I missed on my previous machine, so I picked up this cable from VIOY to connect my PC to my Dolby Digital Decoder. The cable measures roughly 1M in length (which is ideal for my application, as it means I don’t have lots of spare cable to hide). Each end is fitted with a gold plated male RCA connector and these are nicely made with metal outer casings and feature a built in cable strain relief. The cable itself is a reasonable thickness with a nice braider outer sheaf. ***** In The Box ***** 1 x 1M Coaxial Digital Cable ***** Conclusion ***** There isn’t really too much that can be said about a simple RCA cable, but so far I have no complaints. The cable looks and feels quite nicely made and I had no problems with sound quality after connecting my computer to my Dolby Digital Decoder. I like that the product comes coiled up and secured using a handy, reusable hook and loop tie (rather than the twisty wires which just end up in the bin). If you are an audiophile, then this may not be the cable for you, but for general use by the average person, I think it’s ideal and quite reasonably priced at £6.99.

This cable has an RCA phono connector at each end connected by 1m of 75Ω impedance cable. It is intended to carry a digital audio signal but could also be used for video. It is not intended for analogue audio but in reality, over this short length, you probably wouldn't notice any signal degradation. Most commonly this would be used with a device like a DVD player with a coaxial digital output into an AV receiver/amplifier or soundbar. It is capable of carrying digital stereo and 5.1 signals e.g. PCM, Dolby, DTS. A single cable could not carry an analogue stereo audio signal. I would only use this for a subwoofer if it has a digital input, not something I've encountered. It is a nice braided cable with reasonable connectors although I couldn't unscrew them so they appear to be moulded on and not easily repairable. It has been providing a good signal and has a nice velcro-type cable tie to keep the cable tidy. Overall, for the right application, this cable works fine. The price is O.K., I would not pay more than the £6.99 it is currently listed at.

I bought this braided audio cable to connect my subwoofer to the HiFi, therefore I didn't need the two channels it supports. But for the price I'm very happy with it. The nylon braided coating is very tough and bends easily without kinking behind a bookcase. Good value all round.

I want to connect two speakers which separate far apart, this cable length is just right to me.
