Good quality at this price.
This is definitely either a starter crossbow or low budget crossbow. But at this price you can't go wrong with this item. It is sturdy and durable. I have only tested it at ranges of 25 yards and under but it is very accurate at that range. The only thing I don't like it's at there is no notch on the stock for the cocking assist rope device. You have to be careful when cocking it with a rope device that it doesn't slip off. Also the safety is very hard to push but I guess I can be a good thing. I definitely recommend this bow if you are looking for something just to start out with or are on a very low budget. Don't let the price fool you... This thing is powerful and will definitely bring down a whitetail deer.

and I've gotta say that I am definitely pleased. From what I've seen this is about as ...
The crossbow came soon after ordering, no longer than a week, and I've gotta say that I am definitely pleased. From what I've seen this is about as cheap as you could find a new crossbow, I'm new to crossbows and bows and the archery world, but this seems like a pretty good quality product that'll last years with minor maintenance (waxing the string, tightening the tips, etc.). This is definitely no toy, I shot it from about 20 feet away at a box filled with styrofoam, with 3/4 inch plywood behind it, and a thick hard-plastic bin behind that. It went completely through the box, through the plywood, and just didn't quite penetrate the bin but managed to knock it back maybe an inch. This could definitely be used for hunting, or a less conventional home defense tool (which is what I bought it for, along with target practice). The scope doesn't appear to be anything special, but I use the iron sights which seem to be pretty accurate with little adjustment. This is my first crossbow so I don't know what all exactly to look for in it, stringing it was a pain, it takes some strength to cock, the bolts that come with it are short (but seemingly good quality) and the footclaw is a bit loose, but these are just things that come with a crossbow. What really matters to me is stopping power, and this would definitely take down something big if you have the right tips, and even the practice tips would probably drop someone due to the high velocity of the bolt alone. For a hundred bucks, it's a good investment.

Excellent, light weight crossbow. Plenty of power for whitetail.
Excellent crossbow. Been whitetail hunting with it for two years now and bagged three deer. The scope is not great, and pretty much useless in low light at dawn and dusk. The bow is rugged and accurate and hard hitting. I've been using 100 grain mechanical broadheads, and the bolts shoot just like with the field points. Great weight for walking or stalking. I'm not a big guy at 5'7", so this has become my go-to over a larger and heavier Barnett compound unless I'm in a tree-stand with a support bar. Light enough for a youth hunter to use, too. If you're over six foot, it might be a little too small to be comfortable.

Solid
Ok first off when ppl say these things are hard to string, they ain't kidding.. (and that is with every single cross bow that I was debating on).. doesn't come with a stringer so had to watch numerous videos on how to string so we after numerous attempts finally got it by him stepping on one side of bow part and with gloves on pulling it upwards while I struggled to string but we got it! Also it is probably important to remember not to tighten the screw that holds it to tight or then you may cause the bow to crack. The cocking string that came with it was to short so we took it apart and found a long enough rope and made another that worked great. Package came with a paper target and 6 extra nice carbon bolts for a total of 8 bolts.. haven't tried the scope that came with it yet, just using the sight on it (by reviews everyone says they are crap anyway) package arrived on time and so far I would say that I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend! Happy hunting or just playing bc either way it packs a punch!

!!Not safe!! String breaks easily.
Works good, the string came off just after it was loaded (I'm guessing it wasn't quite snapped in all the way) just something to watch out for, because it could hurt if it hit you. ---Edit---- This is not safe! We have gone through 3 strings. They all have broke within the first couple days, and someone could really get hurt if the string hit them when it breaks! I thought it was from.not being snapped in but after it broke the first time he was very careful and cautious to make sure it was all done properly. I would NOT suggest buying this to anyone.

String to short. Ugh.
Hard to string. Had to use a fork lift to hold down. I think the string was short. Have not shot yet. Directions useless

Works well but takes a lot of effort to cock even with a rope cocking device
I had visions of hours of fun target shooting and then discovered that it is very hard to cock even with a rope cocker. I have to bend over to get the cocker on and then stand up while pulling the ropes. I have long standing lower back trouble which means I can get off maybe a dozen shots before having to give it up for the day. The crossbow works well and is plenty powerful. The serving on the string started coming loose after a short while despite using the wax stick on the rails. Get a stringer. It is close to impossible to string it without one but stubborn me managed to eventually get it strung anyway. I toyed with the idea of using my low RPM, very powerful electric drill to fashion an electric cocker but never quite got to it.
