Did not last long
Overall a very very nice CPU and at the time of purchasem the biggest one for my B550-M motherboard. Bought 4 March 2024, died 12 October 2025 )(No OC....... Ever). So dissappointed. The only reason for the 5 star, is the performance. For time to failure, I would give it a 1/2 star.

AMD's best CPU in 2022.
I know the 5800X3D is being touted as the 1080ti of CPUS (tomorrows performance for today's prices, etc etc) and, indeed, that is a fantastic CPU. BUT don't sleep on the R5 5600! For 600 AED/160 USD as I purchased it in September of 2022, it is an absolute budget powerhouse, matching the i5 12400 in gaming and blowing my old R5 1600 AF out of the water. I nearly doubled my performance in synthetic benchmarks, and in games more than doubled my FPS (went from ~140 to rock solid 300 fps in Apex Legends at 1080p high with a 6700XT). Its efficient too, consuming around 90W maxed out in games and thus is perfect for itx systems. I expect this CPU to easily last me 5 years and a couple of GPU upgrades before it starts becoming a bottleneck. If you are planning on building a new system with a midrange GPU, don't be afraid of investing in the "dead" AM4 platform as its much better value than the latest and greatest right now.

Over time, the processor began to randomly overload the computer
Over time, the processor started randomly overloading the computer. At first, the device worked fine, but after a couple of years, frequent reboots even when performing basic tasks. Because of this, it became inconvenient to use the computer for long periods of time, loss of important data, etc. Overall, given my initial expectations of smooth operation, the experience was disappointing. Exchanged by warranty, everything is ok now.
