Is this for only the first couple of days, while it itches and starts peeling? And can i use it starting the day after, when you remove the bandage?

It really hurt my fresh tattoo. I had to wash it off almost immediately. Around day 4, when the itching started, I tried it again and was so impressed. I had minimal itching, but I had to wait until that point to use the gel because it wasn’t comfortable at all on my fresh tat.

That's because one of the ingredients (vitamin C) is an acid. Once a tattoo starts peeling (usually on the 3rd day if correctly applied) NO ointment should be used until the peeling stops. Most of these ointments have way too many ingredients for healing skin to contend with and actually prolong healing. I've Been tattooing 33years and I've been working with all kinds of these products but the one thing I now recommend is simply organic coconut oil. I also use it while applying tattoos as well as the first 3 days after completion. Simpler is best.

Is it supposed to sting like when putting hydrogen peroxide on a cut because this burns

It will sting a little bit when applied to a fresh/new tattoo. This is because of skin abrasion from needle.
