I really like them
I have had SHP9500s for around 3 years now and had been using the stock pads the whole time. They were good and the headphones sounded like they were meant to sound. Eventually, they started to get worn from needing to be cleaned and the cleaning was getting harder to do, since you can't actually take the stock pads off and expect them to go back on. Bought another set of (mesh) pads made for the 9500s with the plastic backplate. The soundstage was completely wrong and messed up. It kept feeling like the EQ needed to be adjusted but I spent probably 2 weeks fiddling with it and didn't find one that worked. The problem I realized, when I gave up, was that the mesh was too thick. It basically emulated closed-back headphones, which the 9500s are not. I got a recommendation that I should try velour pads for open back headphones. I said yeah why not, it can't be worse than the decision I already made and it's only $20. Got the pads, snapped them onto the headphones, and put them on. The sound is so much better than the mesh ones. I still like it a little less than the stock sound, but the increased clamp is nice. I can still hear my surroundings while wearing them. The bass is a bit higher and the general gain seems louder (probably from the increased clamp). They're soft and comfortable to wear all day. I live in Georgia and we keep our air relatively low (75+), during what is currently a very hot summer, and I haven't had heat issues. They breathe really well and the drivers don't touch my ears anymore, which is more appreciated than I realized. Highly recommend if you would like 90% of the stock pad sound without the bad parts of the stock pads.

Easy installation, maximum comfort, great value
I thought I would have to do some tough installation job for this like I've seen in some videos, but no. With these earpads, there was no damage at all to the original earpads that came with my SHP9500. All I had to do was snap the 4 little brackets off from the original earpads and snap these into place, installation took less than 60 seconds. The comfort is insane, I recommend the velour but go with what you prefer. These make it so your ears barely touch the inside of the headphones at all, and I have large ears that stick out. I can wear these for a long time and they do heat up after a while but taking it off for a few minutes for a break is not a problem. I also like that the added depth meant that the headphones clamped a little tighter since they were originally pretty loose. If Philips added earpads like these to their headphones it would make it 10x more comfortable. Thank you for making these, because these are awesome and I love them. If i ever want to switch back to the old ones, I can just snap these off and snap the others ones on, but I will never want to do that, these are perfect for me.

Decent affordable replacement pads
These definitely fit the SHP9500 headphones. They didn't include any instructions so after cutting the original pads to pieces and trying to figure it out I realized that the manufacturer pads and these new replacement pads both have little clips. Yank the old ones off and throw em in the trash and these will snap right on. These have MUCH more padding than the originals, it will change the fit and feel completely. There is more room for my ears in these new ones, they don't feel like they're being pushed against my head. But they also change the sound. These block out more sound than the originals, that is a user preference, I actually like the sound of the original ones more. And the extra distance of the headphones from the head with the new pads required me to set my headphones at a higher volume. They are comfortable for long term wear. The quality is fine, not amazing, and I may update this if I remember in the future to give an idea of how long they may last.

Exceptional quality and price.
Excellent ear pads for my SHP9500's. I have had these cans for quite a while they still work as the day I bought them, the pads were a little worse for wear. Just be careful prying loose the old ones, use something flat and be gentle. New ones snapped right in no issue and are very comfortable, sound quality still superb. Would buy again.

Comfortable, but does alter the sound for the worse
1) These are pretty easy to install, and I was able to do it in minute without tools. 2) They are comfortable in terms of material, and a bit thicker, which increases clamping force which I personally disliked. quality is nice, even a step up, although pleather eventually tends to peel. 3) unfortunately they change the sound signature of the headphones which are notable for a having a a very balanced clear soundstage with great separation to one where the bass increases along with with overall muddiness. In short they really take away what makes these phones distinctive, which is a shame, because quality for the price is really good on these, they are just not a good match sonically for this particular set.

Seriously comfortable, improved bass
Very comfortable and a much needed upgrade. Turns the Phillips into a $150 headphone IMO. The only downside is the sound signature is effected. The mids and highs are not as clear, and the bass is much more noticeable. Could be a positive to many, but something to consider. I’m just glad these headphones are super comfortable now. Huge step up in comfort.

Good Pads
I was getting bored of the flat nature of the shp9500's. I 3d printed some cups(empty spheres) to close the back, but that did little to change it for me. I felt a pad change would do more, and it certainly did. These pads are great and since it already comes with the plastic pre-attached, there was no need to cut and glue the pads on, simply needing to unclip the old pads. The headphones are bit less boring now. These aren't angled, but they work just fine and are quite roomy/comfy and do a good job creating a seal. For less then $8, these are great value.

I love my headset it's an 8/10 for me and I have been using it since 2016. In those 5 years I took the original pads off once and washed them and put them back on...but now they are pretty worn and grimey again... I figured I would try these new pads. I LOVE THEM. they feel better, they actually connected no problem, have a nicer leather pad around the memory foam, and the part that sits on your ears is plush. So comfy! (And I wear these 10 hrs a day everyday easily as I work from my home office) They also made the headset fit my head better than ever as they are just a touch thicker than the originals (unless the originals were flat from all the 5 years worth of usage...but I always felt it was just off of being snug)....They now sit snug and comfy. one more note is that the only thing I really thought could be better about the headset was it let a little too much outside sound in the old pads...these block the sound by probably 5 db...so again this is something I like!!! (maybe you won't) overall, I spent $30 on replacement pads as opposed to $130 to buy the headset again, and I think this headset is a 10/10 now!!!

These shp9500 replacement earpads fit perfectly. They come with the adapter ring connected to the earpads just like the original stock pads. So you pry off the stock pads, then line up these pads, then push them on. Done. The build and materials on these pads are different than the stock pads. These pads have a pleather siding on the foam, with a very soft type of velour on top; the part that rests against your head. The openings for your ears are a bit smaller on these pads. They measure, from top to bottom 65mm ( 2 5/8 in.) and, from side to side 40mm (1 5/8 in.) On the original stock pads, top to bottom 70mm (2 7/8 in.) and, from side to side 50mm (2 in.) These pads are thicker with a really nice soft feeling velour. They are also deeper than the originals. The result is these pads feel a lot snugger so the headphones don't feel like they're going to slide off your head with the slightest movement of your head, like the original. These pads do change the sound . They reduce the treble and increase the bass. Some people may or may not like the change in sound. I like these pads a lot. The fit and feel is much better than original stock pads in my opinion. As far as sound, well that depends on the individual. I have 2 pairs of shp9500s. Yesterday after submitting my review I did a more extensive listening test, going back and forth between the original pair with stock pads and the other pair with these new pads. The difference between the two was really noticeable. The new pads increase the bass a lot and reduce the treble a lot too, such that they really sound completely different than the stock shp9500. If you really like the sound of the shp 9500, be forewarned, that with the new pads they sound like completely different headphones. The change is so drastic that some people might not like the sound. You don't get the same clarity and sharpness on vocals and instruments; but if you like a lot of bass you'll get it with these pads. The fit feel and comfort with these pads is great though.
