Review: I am picking up my guitar again after many decades of not playing. I have always used Martin strings both on my acoustic and electric guitars. These strings are for my Yamaha acoustic. I initially purchased regular, bronze strings. They were hard on my tender fingers and I didn't like the sound of the ones I chose as much as I was used to experiencing with Martins. They would have been fine on an electric guitar, however. I purchased these as an alternative. They are easier on my fingers and the sound is the more subtle and mellow that I was looking for. They are thinner and may not last as long, but we will see. I left my old, worn out bronze strings on this guitar all of the years I didn't play it and, while they had lost their sound, they still tuned up without breaking. I hope Martin quality has not changed in the intervening years. My Yamaha is one of the famed older guitars they made that have become desired collectors items, so the sound made by different strings is very discernable.
