Hello, the receiver has a 3.5 mm diameter 3-pole locking mini jack. So anything with a 3.5mm input will work.

can this work with canon cameras?

it works with any camera that has a 1/4 inch Jax or aux input plug-in. just make sure you buy the proper adaptor from the device. sony has some sort of proprietary system coming out of the device.
