Exceeds my wildest dreams!!
I am a note taker. Always have been and always will be. I HAVE to out the pen to the paper to be able to retain more and I just need that feeling of writing.. I have to be taking notes in a meeting or I get restless and bored.. just like in HS back in the day. But everything is moving to electronic.. Taking notes on a laptop just isn't the same. But I have to take meeting minutes daily and email take aways to the team and the bosses.. So I would have to handwrite notes and then retype them in an email.. May not seem like a huge deal but when you have 4 meetings a day, the time adds up.. I bought a Rocketbook thinking it would solve my problems but it didn't. It was a good concept but the execution.. not there for me. The writing experience wasn't the same, the paper too slick and pen skipped too much.. having to take pictures each time was tiresome especially when it wouldn't align right.. I just wanted it to capture what I wrote without all the hassle.. Enter bamoo slate! I can write on my own paper, be it a legal pads or even a notebook and then tap the button and get it on my phone.. better yet, I tap another button on my phone and it converts it to text that I can send in an email right away.. It's awesome! It recognizes my sloppy handwriting too. My only qualm with it is that the pen requires a bit of push which tires my hand out but first world problem right? It did run out of ink quickly but it might be because I bought mine used (it was in the original packaging though) and it didn't come with the nib remover. Honestly not bothered at all. I got a great deal on it being used and it works fabulously. I can get the refills for cheap and I think tweezers will work to remove the nib, I hope anyway. This is a solid pad and exceeded my expectations! Might be a novelty to some but for the people who write daily or still need the feel of pen and paper but want notes digitally too.. this is the real deal!

Amazine Device! - Web and Integration with OneNote needs some work...Did I say amazing device?
The device itself works wonderfully! Really impressive. I "combined" two pages, incorrectly, and the "Stop correcting "separate" function was amazing as the function allowed me to "watch" my note taking and determined where / when I wanted to "split" the page into two. It actually shows your writing on the page! The device itself deserves a five star rating as it does exactly what I wanted it to do; convert my hand written notes, on ANY paper, into some form of electronic storage (OneNote). While it doesn't "register" light pressure writing v. heavy pressure writing it captures my notes exactly as I wrote them. The only concern (reason for a four star rating instead of five) is the web based app seems to have serious problems. I receive constant, albeit different, error messages in my attempts to access my notes on the web. The synching on my phone is quick and efficient but I'd like to be able to use their Inkspace app but have been unable to use it due to various errors. The "integration" with OneNote is not as I had hoped. I was hoping to be able to "see my notes" directly in OneNote but what I see is a file. In order to get my notes into OneNote the way I want (an image of the notes as I wrote them) is to print them to OneNote as a separate pdf note and then move the page into my official OneNote structure. Its a bit cumbersome, but still better then retyping notes, typing directly or using MS Surface to capture my notes (I like the feel of paper). I'm hoping they fix the web issues and would like to see a better integration with OneNote. But again, the device itself is awesome and everyone who I show it to wants one for themselves.

One of a kind product!
I've read a lot of reviews and watched so many videos on YouTube about this product and all of them concluded that the hardware is really good but the InkSpace app (software) is buggy, unreliable, and useless. As I started using my Bamboo Slate, all of my worries from watching/reading reviews vanished! First of all, the Bamboo Slate comes with a 40 pages dotted Notepad, 2 ink cartridges (one inside the pen and one in a small bag), a cartridge removal tool, and a USB to MicroUSB cable for charging. The hardware is extraordinary! The amount of precision in turning your physical writing/drawing into digital files is remarkable! For the software (Inkspace), as opposed to what all the reviews said, I found it super easy and reliable to work with. There's no need for internet connection (since your devices are paired together using bluetooth and there's no need for signing up for an Inkspace account) if you choose to work offline after pairing your devices. There's a Live Mode inside the app where you can watch the magic happen as you're drawing on the paper. Your pages are all easily accessible in one library, the Inkspace app provides some editing options (cutting parts of the page and moving them around, drawing, erasing, etc.) It also allows you to split one page into two based on the timeline and combine multiple pages into one. The app allows you to export to JPG, PNG, PDF, and WILL (whatever that is!) without signing up for an account (if you do, then you can export to SVG and HTML). The only downside is that the Bamboo Paper app (which is recommended by Wacom to be used alongside Inkspace) is only available for iPad. But even without the Bamboo Paper app, this product is still awesome and totally worth the price. In conclusion, this product is really good and on of a kind (I use it for brainstorming and developing my ideas). Totally recommended.

This device is perfect for teachers and people that are more comfortable writing on paper. I have been using it from past 4 months and completely satisfied with its functioning. The only problem is the second refill, the moment I replaced my empty refill with the extra one that I got for free with this device, it turned out to be empty and that's extremely disappointing. Just a suggestion for all to check both refill when U get it. Rest all good.
