Plus size midline incision hysterectomy necessity
Once you get over the shock of the words "midline abdominal incision" you have to start thinking practically. It will be uncomfortable, but you can make the recovery feel significantly easier with the use of an abdominal binder. And that binder had better be EASY TO PUT ON AND ADJUST BY YOURSELF. You will recognize the utility instantly at the hospital. The nurse will help you put it on and adjust it at first, but when you go home you should be able to use this device on your own, it gets easier with repetition. This is a nice binder. The nurses were impressed by the ease of application and the variable size, even in my size there was plenty of room to adjust and add a padded support board. The doctor was pleased with the vertical length and overall size of the device. I bought several different styles and this is BY FAR the easiest to apply. It does not take much effort to arrange it basically and then adjust for comfort. Before surgery you may think that you want it TIGHT, but you don't, you want it just right. It isn't a corset and you don't want a corset right after surgery even if you are certain beforehand that you will. Especially if you have staples. Trust me. I cannot recommend this strongly enough. It is of high quality and easy to hand launder, but you WILL want at least two so that you can always have one to wear while the other is air drying. Regarding the comments about moving - it's elastic and not boned, it's going to shift in position a little, but it is very easy to adjust into place. It makes more difference than I can express, I am two weeks post surgery and my staples were just removed today. Because of my binder and I can transfer alone with little to no discomfort. I am 5'10 250lb and disabled by severe MS 100% assisted walking **Update** I am now 3 months post surgery and still wearing this on a daily basis, though not 100% of the time and I would not get into a car without it yet. I'm looking for a cooler material for summer, but I still consider it a necessity and absolutely recommend it if you are having abdominal surgery.

Perfect for obese people
I’m 5’6” and 278 lbs. Had a baby 8 months ago and I still look like the doctor forgot a baby in there. Disgustingly fat. I’m working on losing this disgusting goop, and I needed support for my ever expanding gut. I looked up other postpartum belts and they all look cute and very flimsy. Let’s face it, is big folk need something very sturdy and WIDE to cover a large surface. I immediately fell in love with this belt as soon as I put it on. It’s not cute, it’s not complicated to put on, it covered EVERYTHING. It’s exactly what a good supportive belt should be! It provided desired compression, it’s so well made, Velcro sticks beautifully, and it stays put. I went walking in it right away and it helped with my posture as well. It makes you walk straighter. There was some rolling down from the top but, let’s face it, at my size I could put on any belt and my fat rolls will do what they do. If you are very obese like me, you need this belt for compression and support. I am very happy with my purchase.

Sizing Misleading
Looks like a quality product but the sizing is a bit misleading. I ordered an xl because I am 51 inches in my mid section at my biggest point and the xl states it fits 42-53 inches. It barley fit me if I stretched it tight, but then it was way too tight for me to wear it. If extreme tightness is not what you are looking for best to try the next size up. If I exchange for the bigger size, I'll update my review

Nice Binder
I searched everywhere for weeks to find a binder for after my surgery. I didn’t want a waist trainer because I was afraid of the tight compression on my incision. This binder is very similar to the one they provide at the hospital. It is wider than the hospital binder which I wanted and the fabric is soft and breathable. Now the hardest part to finding a binder is the size. I’m not sure if this will help anyone but I hope it does. I am a bigger woman, so rolling was a concern, this belt doesn’t do that and the material is soft no bones. That was important for me because I had to sleep in it. I was a size 16/18 before surgery. At the time of purchase I was a 20W due to swelling. I ordered a XXL and I wish I would have gotten an XL. There is a large Velcro patch so it provides flexibility. I’m ok with the larger size because my husband can help me get it tight enough, if you don’t have help and you order big, it’s hard to manage the extra length of material to get snug.

Binder keeps shifting up, can't keep it on any length of time
My surgeon told me to look for binders because I had major abdominal surgery. This one isn't working out. It won't stay put. It keeps shifting up. It's not at all supportive. It's just not worth the money. Do NOT buy this.

Great for after surgery
I had a hysterectomy and the hospital gave my a stomach binder to use but it was a little small in the sense that it would go around my stomach good but it didn't cover alot of my stomach especiall where the surgury was. I got this because the width is so much bigger than the one I have. This covers my whole stomach. I have a big stomach (two tummy rolls) and this covered everything. It is a good quality material. Also pay attention to the size. I got the 2xl/2xl and it was way to big. I weight around 232 pounds and the weight sits on my stomach. The best fit for me was the l/xl. Great product, comfortable to wear pretty much all day. I don't sleep in it but it is pretty comfortable

Good quality. Be careful when you order. Take in consideration the description. For me it was oversized. Easy to return.

This abdominal binder has been a life saver. I had surgery and all movement has been painful and things hurt when gravity is applied once first getting up. This binder is easy to get on and just makes me feel more secure and safe. When I bend over to pick something up, previously, my tummy would hang. This caused pain due to the surgery, the binder helps distribute that hang and thus, lessens the pain. The only issue I have is putting it on alone, sometimes I want it a little bit tighter but can't because my arms are not long enough. I then need to enlist a friend to help me get it sitting right. Otherwise this product has been wonderful.

Came with the stain on it. Looks used.

Band is too wide. For women with short torso (like mine) it was very uncomfortable and would bed and hurt me on incision.
