These lil fellers are FANTASTIC. Motion sensor + door state functionality in one box is great. Home Assistant integration is fast and easy. Latency is non-existent. Can't say enough good things.

I’ve been using the SwitchBot Contact Sensor for a few weeks now, and I’m honestly impressed by how easy it was to set up and how well it works. I paired it with my SwitchBot Hub and it immediately started delivering real-time notifications whenever a door or window is opened. Setup took less than 5 minutes—just peel, stick, and pair. One thing I really like is the motion detection feature built into the sensor. It goes beyond just tracking open/close status and helps monitor movement in the area, making it doubly useful. Battery life looks great so far, and I love that I can check everything from my phone whether I’m home or away. If you’re looking to add an affordable and effective security boost to your smart home, this sensor is a no-brainer. It’s compact, accurate, and integrates smoothly with other SwitchBot gear. I have this sensor mounted on an exterior door. Usually when the door is opened, I get a notification on my Android phone (Pixel 7) almost immediately (95% of the time). However there are times where notifications can take up to 10 minutes, and I'm not exactly sure why. This could be an issue with my phone and completely unrelated to this device - not sure. Othewise, as with other Switchbot products, it was easy to setup and install. Overall I'm pleased and would buy it again.

Even though this smart contact/motion/light sensor is compatible with Alexa, the only sensor you would be able to utilize for your routines is the contact sensor (open/closed). The other features you only can create automations with the SwitchBot app. The sensor itself is very reliable and fast.

This is a great contact sensor. It is very easy to install and setup. I do have the SwitchBot Hub 2 (a hub is required (hub mini/hub 2) for a lot of the features to work) which detected the contact sensors right away. I installed them on my garage doors and side door of the garage in case I forget to close them. Also installed one in the utility room which has a string to pull in order to turn on/off the light, so I added a smart bulb and made an automation to turn on or off the light when the door is open or closed. It works instantly every time! If you use an automation and don't want to receive notifications each time the door opens or closes, you can turn them off in the app which I did for the one in the utility room. Instead of using the 3M double sided tape I used Command strips which makes it easier to remove the sensor when I will need to change the battery or want to use it at a different door or window. So far I have 5 contact sensors and all work great for me. Love them and the price is great! Definitely recommend this contact sensor.

Earlier I had 3 separate devices tracking door /window open/close through contact sensor , light sensor and morning sensors. It's always been a hassle maintaining their batteries as they lapse at different times and integrating them is another challenge. Glad to find this 3 in 1 solution, that offers all 3 capabilities in one device and it's built in support for automation is a blessing. Instalation is easy, guided by in app step by step instructions. It has multiple options too handle different door types. I paired this with switchbot Button pusher to automatically turn lights on when we are home. It's integration when switchbot mini helps get notification when we are away. Overall highly recommend for anyone who is trying to implement non subscription based unified security solution.

Disappointed, angry, and frustrated about this purchase and the app. The toll free hot line is disconnected. Company should be ashamed of themselves. I received better technical devices on Temu for a forth of the price compared to the this brand. You can only use about 15% when you download the app for this device for the setting. If you don't have the Switchbot Hub the remaining 85% is a complete waste of space. I could not set my phone to receive notifications or alerts if someone open my apartment door especially when I'm I will be notified. . And I'm still wondering what the Fresnel lens because the manual does not explain it they give you another QR code for more information. However, it does tell you how to connect with Amazon Alexa device but the device is practically useless and could have brought a indoor camera for for a few extra bucks more for what I paid for. Don't Used this for Security It's Completely Unsafe!!!

He estado buscando una forma sencilla y fiable de monitorizar mis puertas y ventanas, y el SwitchBot Sensor de Contacto ha superado mis expectativas. Lo que realmente me gusta es su versatilidad. No solo me avisa de aperturas inesperadas, sino que también lo he integrado con otros dispositivos SwitchBot a través de escenas en la aplicación. Por ejemplo, al abrir la puerta del armario, se enciende automáticamente una luz SwitchBot Bulb. ¡Las posibilidades son muchas! La duración de la batería ha sido excelente hasta ahora. Llevo varias semanas usándolos y aún no he tenido que preocuparme por reemplazarlas. Además, la aplicación te avisa cuando la batería está baja. spend hours trying to connect it to Alexa or smart life app but it fails..its only connects to smartbot app and can't access it outside this app...after alot of search i find out you need to buy another device (hub) to be able to connect to third party assistant like Alexa. Seller should mention that on description. Usless. Im returning it back

I purchased this with my own money - as always, reviews are unbiased and have not been influenced by any third party I’ve used a lot of SwitchBot devices and have their smart thermometers around the house and so when it came to purchasing a door sensor, this was the obvious choice unfortunately where the other devices have always been very stable. This one stopped working after a very short period
