I was really searching for a while for a dock that fit my needs of two monitors and a host of peripherals that need to be hooked up for my home office. This thing is flawless and at this price point and is one of the cheaper 100w hubs that you can buy especially with the latest display ports which is necessary for monitors with high refresh rates. My only criticism is that I wish the body of the unit had mounting holes so that I can mount it the back of my desk out of sight and out of mind but that is a personal preference. Very happy and highly recommend.

Amazing product, let’s me run 3 240hz 1080p DisplayPort ips monitors, the interface/software is smooth too like after initial setup you never have to touch it, and plugging in plugging out now is as easy as disconnecting/reconnecting the usb-cs p.s. If you worried about initial installation steps is really easy took me like 5-10min fyi

I just bought a new laptop and it doesn't support an USB-c connector. This is the only hub I could find that uses USB-a and also has a USB-c connector. This is a little pricier than the original hub I wanted, but it works and does the job I need it to do. Don't waste too much time looking for another hub with USB-a, as there aren't many. Make sure when you buy a new laptop that it supports USB-c connectors for powering your hub.

I wanted so much to like this unit - small, well designed, great monitor resolution output and above average power delivery. Unfortunately, I've encountered two issues that make this unit difficult to use, if certainly not worth the price: 1. Sound output is choppy. It cuts out at ransom intervals - sometimes every couple of minutes, sometimes every few seconds. It's bad enough that listening to music is too frustrating, and any sort of online video is at times incomprehensible. 2. Once or twice per day, it drops and then reconnects the monitors about four times in succession, before returning to their on state. During that time, I have about two minutes where the computer is unusable because of flashing monitors, resizing screen resolutions, and for some reason, mouse and keyboard inputs being frozen - which is indicative of this being a dock issue altogether, not just a monitor or cable connection problem. I contacted StarTech's support initially over the sound output issues. We went over a number of troubleshooting steps to try and isolate the cause, and their support staff arrived at the conclusion that my dock's onboard hardware was faulty. On his suggestion, I returned and replaced the defective unit via Amazon over their own warranty process. The new dock I received has the same sound output issues and after two weeks of use, developed the video output issues. StarTech.com is aware of the issues with this model, though it appears problems are not limited to single units, rather this model run as a whole. I certainly don't have a unique setup (laptop connection with two 27" monitors connected via HDMI and wireless keyboard/mouse), but this being a "universal docking station" is unfortunately just not what its capable of.

I bought this product without realizing it didn't say anything about being compatible with macOS. However, it works flawlessly with my M1 Macbook Pro and Ultrawide monitor(3440x1440) @ 144hz refresh rate. Although HDR doesn't appear to be working but I personally don't need it for my work laptop.

The docking station didn't actually work straight away as the cable supplied was damaged but these things happen. That said the Tech support was excellent, you got to speak to a technician and he was very knowledgeable, we got to the root of the problem and a replacement cable arrived two days later. The actual docking station is excellent and works well with my MSI laptop through USB-A (5G port), the technician did make reference to it not being able to charge the laptop through USB-A which is refreshing to see this honesty. It isn't the fault of the docking station that my laptop doesn't have the capability through the USB-C port. Overall this is an excellent product, I wish it had the ability to stand vertically but perhaps for a future issue. Fundamentally it worked as soon as I plugged it in (with a cable that worked) and in over a month of daily use has worked perfectly

I tried this with my Asus Rog Ally to make it into a complete workstation All prephriel devices work... except for video (HDMI/DP) which is the whole point of owning something like this! With 2 DP and 1 HDMI I tried every troubleshooting tips provided by Startech.com... still did not work Clearing video cache, checking with different cables, using short cable...etc Curiously, it worked with one of my Windows Laptops.. which again defeats the purpose of having a "universal usb-c hub" I am angry because I've waited so long for this to arrive only to fail...

This is the best docking station as of today. I use with a Mac Mini and a Dell PC. It works perfectly fine with my 3 Benq 4K monitors. I highly recommend.
