Q: What gauge wire on this? Looking for 10 gauge.

The 25 ft extension is 16 gauge, and the battery harness is 16 gauge. So not really a guess that it would be 16 gauge. No way would it be 10 gauge.

Q: is this the same as the mc4 extension cable if i want to run it from my controller to the battery

It is simply an 2 prong 25' extension cord with so you can extend the length (distance) way from where ever you plug it into what you wanted to extend.

Q: Can this cable be connected to a 12.5' cable to make an extra long extension?

Technically yes it can. However I can't say what the extra resistance will do to the performance. I have this connected to the already long Battery tender cable and it charges my ATV battery just fine.

Q: Will these work with the Batter Tender Solar chargers?

yes this will work, have a 10 watt solar panel works just fine

Key item for custom applications

Purchased 2 of these for my vintage pickup which gets connected during cold-weather months. Combined with Deltran Ring Terminal Harness Accessory Cable - 18 inch Cord Adapter with SAE Quick Disconnect (081-0069-6), it completes a 'permanent' installation. One extension was adequate to route from battery to rear bumper. The other extension connects at the rear bumper and extends into the garage where the charger unit is kept. This setup allows easy connect/disconnect access when the truck is outside with cover on. Easily disconnected at rear bumper and pigtail tucked up inside rear of bumper. Just remember to disconnect before driving off!
