It's quite detailed and very lovely, highly recommend. I haven't even dived into actually reading the deck yet (or the guide book) Ive been so enamoured by the art. It's VERY gorgeous art. This is my second deck (my first being cat tarot by Megan Lynn Kott) these cards are slightly smaller than those but definitely high quality. The guide book is fully colored and smells like a new book. The box has very pretty art inside as well, and there's a thread to put under the deck so you can get them out easily. As for travel wise, if you already have a big bag you could definitely fit the box in there but cat tarot is definitely better for travel as the box is quite small but that also means the guide book is small and not colored. Overall: Art: 10/10 it's got a mystical feel while Cat Tarot is more cartoony Feel: 10/10 the cards aren't very big and they're smooth Quality: 9/10 cards are thin and bend easily so you definitely need to be gentle with them Travel: 8/10 you can definitely travel with them but the box is a bit big so you'd need a bigger bag or a travel bag for the cards Review: Bean toes - I'm new to tarrot, so I was a little apprehensive on buying my first deck. However, once I opened it up I felt a connection that's grown deeper the more I use it. The art on the cards is soo cute and i feel it represents the cards meanings well. The book that comes with it is very helpful too and is an awsome companion to the cards! So the day I opened it up I got halfway into shuffling the deck and the court cards of the cups popped up so I took a picture of that. Later that day I pulled the knight of swords. About a week later I decided to get a little adventurous and pulled The Two of Pentacles, Nine of Cups (both right side up), The Sun, The Chariot, and The Ten of Cups (all upside down). It was daunting at first pulling the upside down ones because I thought it would mean something bad but on the contrary, its helped me learn more about myself during this challenging time and more about everything the cards have to give! This is especially true when I was going through the deck to learn about the cards more and came across The Ace of Swords upside down. I read the corresponding material for it and it was a little hard to digest but very eye opening. I hope to learn a lot more while using this deck! Oh, and The World is cute, it has bean toes!

Nice cards if you want something different than the regular tarot cards
The pictures are cute and the cards are easy to shuffle. Not slippery like some decks. The box they come in is sturdy with a magnet closure. Overall a good deck.

Beautiful Playing Card sized Deck
I just received these and love them! The artwork is beautiful, with lifelike cats rather than cartoonish or sinister featured portrayals as shown by the three attached pics. (The Page of Pentacles, The Chariot and the Hermit.) The card's meaning is well depicted by the cat's demeanor and posture. I was looking for a smaller deck, so this definitely fit the bill as it is playing card sized. I was also very happy that the pentacles were NOT inverted as were most of the decks I looked at. It comes in a nice storage box and is accompanied by a very nice book with meanings well explained.

Love the illustrator, and
I bought this tarot deck because I absolutely love Adam Oehlers, the illustrator. He also illustrated the Indie Tarot deck - Oak, Ash & Thorn, which was wholly produced in the UK, and it’s beautiful. I own the full size and the mini, as well as the new mini Oracle deck. They’re lovely cards and people. I always wonder why they credit the author’s name above the illustrator on tarot decks, since people are buying the tarot deck for the artwork not the fluffy writing in the book (that isn’t really very good at teaching the meanings of the cards). Tarot already has set meanings, and the art is the main show. As an artist myself, I always find it odd that they credit the illustrator below the authors name, or even on the back.. I’m buying the deck completely due to the artist’s work. That said, I love the art style and work in this deck, which is why I bought it. He manages to properly illustrate the card meanings in his artwork quite well, there are only a couple of cards I felt could have been depicted better (symbology-wise), but that’s minor. Love the goldfish in the bubble, and glasses, and the goggles on the Page cards. I removed 1 ⭐️ bc I can never give a Llewelyn deck 5 stars. For years they’ve had feedback from customers that their cardstock is poor quality, chips easily and is too thin, and they have done nothing to address it. That speaks volumes to me as a consumer. The books that come in these sets are made with extremely thin paper (close to tissue paper) for the pages, and frankly, I’d rather they save their money on the expensive large magnetic book boxes and books, and just offer a higher quality card stock for their decks. Personally, I don’t want the books that come with these, they’re often fluff and not really anything you need to really understand the cards (there are other great books for that like, The Ultimate Guide to the Tarot, The Holistic Tarot, any Rachel Pollack book, Archetype Tarot etc). I would buy nearly every deck Llewelyn has in production if they actually cared what their customer base wants and offer better quality cards via cardstock. I want the cards to be flexible, yet hold their shape after shuffling (I shouldn’t have to switch shuffle to keep their shape), and not chip or ding around the edges so easily. This is a specific Llewelyn issue as US Games manages to manage costs and mostly offer great mass market decks, regarding their cardstock. Pick a better cardstock and laminate, offer just the cards as a deck, and if people really want a book, sell it separately. I’ll be honest, I didn’t buy Llewelyn decks for 7 years, hoping they’d care and start doing better, but they haven’t. That feels dismissive of the people supporting you (and want to buy from you) coming from a company that has a niche market. I love a lot of the art on Llewelyn decks, but I refuse to reward a company for selling decks that are fragile and chip up unconscionably fast (Im very gentle on my cards and I don’t riffle shuffle at all). I’d buy so many decks if this changes, but as it stands I only own 3 Llewelyn decks, and I only bought this deck due to whom the illustrator was. Sorry Llewelyn, but it’s inexcusable that the part of the tarot sets you sell (the cards), that are handled the most and need to be sturdy, are somehow the most fragile part. This seems deliberate after all of this time and that seems like we shouldn’t support that. There are people out here who love the art on the cards, but hate the low quality of the cards themselves save money on the unnecessary book and expensive-to-produce magnetic book box and invest in better cardstock, printing and 2 part slide boxes. You’d still be able to sell the decks for $25.

Very nice overall
Shipping this time was fabulous. Got a new deck, not a returned item. The box is beautiful, the book is beautiful with full color, doesn't have a weird stinky smell like some full colored guidebooks that have these glossy type papers seem to have a lot of the time. The cardstock is easy to shuffle, with beautiful clear colored images. I seriously love this deck overall... BUT there is this weird splitting in the cards, each time I shuffle it just splits weirdly, making it a bit hard to shuffle without breaking at the parted cards... There are three cards that keep showing up at these parts, so not sure if the cut is off or what. I mean the cards feel flush, but still the parting of the cards each time I shuffle throws me off. Other than that, I really love everything about this deck. Maybe I just got a weird card cut in my deck. not enough of a bother to return it, but just wanted to point it out.

Great for cat lovers and tarot readers
Lovely art, and deck that shuffles like a dream. I really enjoy working with The Soul Cats. The all cat imagery is beautiful. I wouldn't recommend this as a learning deck, but if you're comfortable with the tarot meanings, it's still resonates overall. Also, if you're a fan of big, art filled guidebooks, you'll be very pleased. A great addition to a tarot collection or a gift for the reader in your life.
