The porcelain dish showed up broken and a phone call and a couple days later and it was replaced. Everything works great, but beware it's hard to sell your melted down jewelry to a pawn shop they don't want to buy it so before email down all your old necklaces and rings to a solid piece of gold keep that in mind

We bought this for our daughter to melt glass and copper in a microwave kiln to make jewelry. For that, it worked very well. The tongs are handy because the graphite crucible gets really hot.

This was a cheap kit for my first backyard casting adventure. I wouldn't by it again as the carbon molds only survived a few casts before cracking apart. The Crucible didn't survive more than 5 fires, I tried to preheat and cool the product as slowly as possible but I feel the material isn't quite thick enough to handle. I fired copper and bronze in this, not sure about the temps probably around 2200 F on a propane furnace.

First timer here trying smelt down some placer/flake gold. I was successful using this set up and a map gas torch. Crucible held together well. Make sure to heat your crucible up slowly. Haven’t used the graphite one yet.

Product is small, but i knew that already. All pieces arrived in beautiful shape. Can't wait to use.

This is not a bad kit to start with. Came well packaged and ready to use. I had to make a base for the crucible, but I had enough steel around here to put one together. It is small, but safe to use without burning down the house. Good product, great price!!
