Ka-Bar 2-1233-8 Sheath Knife 4", Medium, Black

Purchased the skinner for myself about a week ago and the little finn for my son. Love the classic look, well made and sharp as a razor. Field Dressed, skinned and processed 4 deer within the first two days the skinner arrived and it handled perfectly for every chore. so far, its retained a great edge. It has replaced my Pumas and Bucks as my hunting "go to" knife. I havnt used the little fin yet, thats under the Christmas tree, but im sure my son will appreciate it for many years. So far, the skinner meets my expectations in every way.

Just received my Ka-Bar Skinner. Very pleased with the craftsmanship. Razor sharp factory edge. The blade has a chrome finish. The knife is very lightweight and will take some getting used to since the Skinner I am replacing was a lot heavier. The sheath is "okay" probably will replace it with a custom locally made one. Can't wait to try it out this hunting season.

Great Knife, but it is no longer made in the US like the description says. I was pretty disappointed that Amazon specified a different product. Overall I am happy with the knife, but it is not what I ordered.

made in china sadly. came out of the factory with a good sharpness but i got it way better. and i wasn’t able to cut paper correctly cause i was holding my phone with my knees. but very very sharp. good for flaying fish

Can be used as a skinner and a survival knife. Perfect in between size. I have the Gerber LMF II for a true survival knife, but if I don't want to carry that heavy sucker I carry this. It's also small enough to skin a squirrel successfully without destroy the meat. Beautiful handle that feels very nice in your hand... I don't have another knife that feels better than this on in your hand. Stacked Leather is my favorite. Sheath is alright, nothing fancy. It's a little tough to place back in the sheath while on your hip without cutting yourself or the sheath itself... Just be careful. I would recommend this as a relatively inexpensive hunting knife.

Comes nice and sharp. 4" is nice size for small carry and this comes with a nice sheath. The serrated bit on top makes this even more functional. I think my neck Ka-Bar will be a bigger blade, but for the price, this knife is a great value!

This knife was exactly what i was looking for, it has the leather stacked handle, like the western knives used to have, it seems to be very durable, and the sheath seems to be well designed, I dont know how well it will hold an edge yet, but overall it is a perfect knife for the young hunter in your family, I highly recommend this knife to anyone.

I bought this knife because I like the handle and the bright chrome blade. It was almost half of the price on Amazon than in the store where I originally saw it. The edge is good and Kabar is a name to be trusted. I recommend this to anyone who wants a knife for hunting mid size game.
