The Niteangel hamster desert bath sand is excellent quality. It’s truly no-dust, which makes a big difference for keeping the enclosure clean and safe. The texture is soft and fine, and it works great for bath areas without being messy. Really happy with this sand and would definitely recommend it for hamster owners looking for a cleaner, higher-quality option.

It's a bit pricy for the amount you get but I would definitely say it's worth it. The sand is safe for hamsters, and it very nice and cooling. My hamster loves it. It's pretty absorbent and clumps well, so if your hamster pees in their sand bath like mine does you can easily scoop it out. I definitely plan on getting this again whenever I need to change it.

The sand spilled in my box so beware of that but it's great for my hammy.

The sand grains are medium size and soft, not too big but not small enough to be powdery. Would probably be good for a sand litter box. My gerbils love it. There really is NO DUST. No dust cloud when pouring and no dust on my hands. It is tan/orange and does not make my white gerbils look like they have a bad spray tan. It arrived double bagged in two thick ziplock bags and the inner bag did not leak. Easy to pour out. 2.5 lbs of sand sounds like a lot more sand than it actually is. I think the price is worth the quantity & quality, but make sure you purchase enough.

I have a Syrian hamster and I use this as a pee sand as having my hamster pee into the corner with bedding was such a mess to clean each time. This is so much easier to clean when putting it in a plastic container! I believe he also uses it sometimes to clean himself but mostly as a bathroom which was what I intended! I never really smell the pee unless I don’t clean out the container for a day or two. I clean my hamsters cage every night so it’s fresh for him so I never have a smell problem. It clumps up nicely, but if you don’t put enough in the container it will leak down to the bottom and the sand sometimes gets stuck to the bottom of my plastic container where the pee has reached so definitely fill up your container a lot. I try to keep it 3/4ths full of sand unless of course if he moves the sand around with his feet and makes it less deep and he pees then it’s still getting to the bottom but I can’t do much there lol!! It’s very smooth and soft sand, no dusting and he hasn’t had any medical issues like getting wet tail or anything like that! I also have his running wheel from this brand and I recommend it too!

I had been using this, but thought it might be too expensive, so tried chinchilla bath dust from a local pet store. YUCK! What a mess it made of everything in the environment! Went back to this. So clean and easy to use. It's worth it.

I have 2 gerbils and thought I would try this sand for a change as I couldn’t get out to my local Pet Shop due to an injury. Delivery was fast next day and it was well packed. The sand is really good, soft and fine the gerbils absolutely love digging and rolling about in it. I think their coat appears cleaner too but I can’t be too sure. The contents of the bag lasted three refills. I normally put it into a bath box and leave it in their glass tank for an hour every second day. If you leave it in too long then they will use it as a toilet spot. Well mine do anyway. The sand does actually clump up really well if they pee so you can filter it out pretty easily. I didn’t get any smell from the samd so it’s not fragrant just samd. I would definitely recommend it, concerning the price if ypu are purchasing actual recommended pet sand and not Kids play sand this is pretty much the correct price give or take a few pounds. I would give this 5 out of 5. My go to sand from now on.
