I’m building a digital dash and want to pull OBD information from my LS for wizarding purposes. This thing works great and is easy to setup. I wish it were cheaper but it definitely went break the bank! It’s nice and solid, they didn’t skimp on parts. It’s flawless even in the heat and I can pull PIDs faster than I need them. Great quality, great speed, great price.

Another great product from Waveshare! The quality that they keep putting out is fantastic! Never lets me down! This hat for my Pi 5 not only looks great, but fits perfect, especially if you plan to run a cooler under for the pi chipsets. This also supports CAN 0 and CAN 1. I do a lot of car projects and this will work perfect for a custom dash I am working on!

the waveshare instructions are outdated and I encountered problems installing system and libraries. 1. I could not make it work on any 64-bit os; it only works on armhf raspios. 2. python3 libraries must be installed in venv. so the hat works but it took a long time and patience to make it work. I used Pi4-b.

Great product - works great to spec

Good quality electronic parts based of my inspection of this raspberry expansion HAT. The soldered are clean which is nice, and installing this hat still has access to 40 pins of pi, as the pins penetrates through the top which is good to have for some project that requires more pins. Overall, great product and must have for any pi projects.
