PF260 Slope Switch with magnetic

I'm one of those nerds who research everything to death before a purchase so before buying this I watched countless YT ads and read numerous reviews. Eventually I took the plunge - although tbh it's not much of a plunge at this price - and bought it. I've been more than pleasantly surprised by the quality and how well it works with one caveat which I'll mention later. I took it out to my course last weekend. There were a number of positives for me and a few areas for improvement: 1. It attaches to your bag really well - the clip to attach to the bag then the elastic hook on the case itself which allows you to open the zip but keep the case safe meant really fast access. 2. The eyepiece of the rangefinder is easy to focus. Make sure you do that properly as I was tempted to accept slightly less than completely in focus and that made the eventual flag location harder. My fault. The image should be very crisp. 3. I tried the normal crosshairs mode first with slope button off as that makes it competition legal. To be honest I found this quite difficult. Yes, I improved quite quickly but it still wasn't easy, especially as we had a (not strong) wind that day. It moves about making it hard to know when to press the button for distance. It took several goes with most of them ending with a distance to the trees behind the flag rather than flag itself. However, I did get better at it and when I did the distances were spot on. I know this because we have signs out on the range at 50/100/150 etc. and I focussed on them. 4. However, the real power of the rangefinder becomes obvious when you switch the slope button on and select flag lock and vibration . IMPORTANT: You can only use flagpole lock and vibration with slope button ON ( which makes it illegal for comps!) Not sure why they decided on this or if there is a technical reason. More later. 5. Flagpole lock and vibration is AWESOME !!!! Slope button on, press mode button, flag icon appears. You point at the flag and basically wave it slightly right then left and buzz. You get the vibration and distance. So quick ! Loved this mode which makes it stranger that it wasn't put into the slope button off side. 6. Charging is a breeze with USB and battery easily lasted a practice on the range plus a full round. 7. Customer service. I've seen a couple of negative comments about this company in regards to communication but that hasn't been my experience. I fired off an email about the flag lock and vibration only being available with slope button on and they got back to me overnight , confirming this and asking if I thought it would be useful for them to add this to the slope off side. Surprised they hadn't done that automatically but still good, quick response. Negatives. Only one really but that is a big one. One of the reasons I bought the rangefinder was to use in competitions. It is a great piece of kit but it looks like I'll have to learn how to use the slope off/crosshairs method during competitions. No, nobody will check - not sure how they could as the very fact it has the slope off button makes it a legal device - but that's not really the point. Pity as otherwise this is a superb piece of kit. One other small issue I found but maybe it won't bother others. When you put your eye right up to the eyepiece I found first I had to slightly push my cap up a bit ( not really an issue) but also the actual lense isn't far at all from the entrance to the eyepiece so you find your eyelashes showing up, obscuring a part of the screen. It'd be good if they added just a little depth so the lense was deeper into the eyepiece to avoid this. Overall, I'm going to keep this rangefinder. One round more with it and I'm starting to love it. It's quick to use and in still conditions there is no issue with the crosshairs although a bit of wind and that changes. It's the difference between having to be spot on the flag and being able to let it move naturally left to right with flag lock and vibrations. It sounds silly but it has also added a fair amount to my confidence in standing up to a shot. I used an Apple watch and Golfshot which was great but it only gave me front middle and back distances and some of our greens are about three clubs deep, allied to the fact that our greenskeepers have a strange idea of what middle is! It could be as much as ten yards out. Finally, the company in their email said that if I thought it was a good idea, then they try to incorporate customers' thoughts into their next version and that they have passed my suggestion re slope side having flagpole lock and vibration to their software engineer so it may be the the next version will solve this. If you can operate crosshairs mode well ( I'm getting on a bit and it's quite tiring holding it up for a while so it can capture the flag) or if you don't need it for competitions I find it hard to imagine a better choice for a rangefinder.

I have been waiting for the rechargeable version for a while and it has been worth the wait. The battery life is superb and it charges very quickly too. As other reviews state it is difficult to locate the flag in the wind on non slope mode, it is a lot easier with slope as it can lock the flag with a little wiggle. This would be a good feature to add on the next model. I havent really used the other features but they seem easy enough to navigate with the top button. A good product and matches the expensive models out there.

Now used for 5 games, I found this to be a good Range finder. The only set back for me is; when slope is off, the Target/Flag lock vibration doesn’t seem to work. Other than that I’m thoroughly enjoying using it.

Compact

Well designed, reasonably priced unit. I was testing as an intended Fathers’ Day present. Sadly it was just not suitable for me. Conditions were windy and I am now in my Senior years, so admit I don’t have a consistent grip. However, trying to view the target and lock on to a reliable distance was very difficult - and I could never be sure that the distance presented was to my chosen target. I had thought it would be useful to find range of lay up points / distance to hazards etc. However, especially with trees being blown - the laser seemed to get distracted and distances rapidly changing in the view finder, thus difficult to assess what was being measured. I have a Shotscope Watch and a small handheld Garmin Approach which I used to validate the RangeFinder distances. By the end of the first 9 holes, sadly, the RangeFinder was confined to my bag as it proved to be fairly useless for my needs.

Fast, robust, clear optics, easy to use and battery is rechargeable. Over all, a very useful addition to the golfing experience.

For the price, it was a great buy. accurate as the bushnell my friend uses at a quarter the cost. easy to recharge. Magnet is strong.

Comparé avec ce sue j’avais avant de grande marche, ce telemetre au aussi bien voir mieux grace a la fonction slope qui peut etre désactivé facilement en cas de compet. Pile rechargeable inclus avec connecteur et cable pour le charger. Mais je pense que la charge doit tenir des mois. L’ancien Busnell a rendu l’ame !

Muy contentos tras cinco vueltas con él. A mí me resultó difícil elegir entre todos estos telémetros que están en torno a los 100 €. Un gran experto en golf nos recomendó el Aofar, que en su opinión hace exactamente lo mismo que el de “la” marca. Finalmente compré el Mileseey porque se lo vimos a una jugadora junior de alta competición y ella y sus compañeras nos dijeron que entre todos (decathlon, Aofar, otros…) era su preferido. Compacto, magnético (ver video), muy fácil de usar, realmente bonito y con una funda mejor que la de “la” marca por excelencia de este tipo de aparatos. Vaya por delante un pequeño “disclaimer”: no tenemos experiencia suficiente en el uso de telémetros de “la” marca como para echar de menos ninguna característica de los modelos que cuadriplican en precio a este. En óptica una pequeña mejora es muy cara, y no digo que los modelos que valen 5 veces más que este sean un timo, porque la luminosidad del cristal se paga. Pero sí quiero responder a las dudas que tenía yo por si pueden ayudarle a alguien: - SÍ tiene bloqueo de bandera en modo normal, no hace falta conectar el slope y hacer trampas como dice alguna review. - El bloqueo de bandera vibra - Funciona muy rápido. 0 juego lento. - Viene con 2 baterías recargables para tener una de emergencia y también se pueden usar pilas normales. - Sí enfoca perfectamente a 200 m de bandera y más y la bloquea. Sí mide con abaoluta precisión y velocidad la distancia a un lago y camino, comprobado en los típicos golpes de dar 150 m para no llegar a un onatáculo. - la bolsa sí es tan buena como dicen las reviews por aquí. Poder tenerlo a mano es un porcentaje muy importante de la utilidad de un telemetro y la banda magnética ayuda MUCHO. - Por lo tanto, recomiendo el modelo con bloqueo de bandera y banda magnética y pila recargable, que tampoco se va tanto de precio. En definitiva, muy contento con él. Voy a comprar otros dos para el resto de mis hijos, ya que es un aparato que si se pierde, ya no cuesta un potosí y hace muy bien todo lo que hacen los de 600 euros y es muy bonito. Como “defectos” o cosas a pensar: - la funda imita a las de “la” marca. Si te molesta esto, tenlo encuenta - Yo lo compre rebajado a 130 y ahora veo que está a 150. No sabría decir qué justifica que cuando escribo esta reseña esté 50 euros mas caro que el Aofar, que también tiene excelentes recomendadores. Entiendo yo que la banda magnética y la funda, pero si andas justo de dinero, puedes querer mirar el otro. En definitiva, qué voy a decir yo, tras probarlo, lo voy a hacer el telémetro “oficial” de mi casa. Cuando tenga más experiencia con 3 de estos en uso, actualizaré la review.

Works very well. Easy to use. The magnet is a nice touch, it sticks to the cart even through rough terrain.

qualità complessiva ottima ad un prezzo competitivo rispetto alle marche più note nel golf. Fatta l'abitudine alla sensibilità del puntamento alla bandiera diventa molto utile e preciso. Bella e comoda la confezione che contiene il telemetro.
