I'm not using this for a window crank, but rather to turn a magnet winder for the manufacture of magnetic pickups for electric guitars.

for me wrong size. Seems there is a smaller size , 1/4" that would be my size. The set screw was to high in the hole so I had to cut a little of the handle off so the screw would grasp the shaft. We'll see how long that holds up, thinking with time it will damage the shaft and fall off. The correct size is important and making "adjustments" not so much.

We have older awning windows with a smaller diameter shaft on the mechanism. This fit great. Will most likely buy a few more.

It is what it is: a basic window crank. Our old ones are failing in large numbers (28 windows on our house) and the "real" replacements are insanely expensive. Frankly, even the ones that cost 2x what these do are ridiculously overpriced, not to mention those that are 4-6x as much. These will work. The major downside is the set screws that hold them in place are crap-- they are cheap metal, phillips rather than slotted, and the heads are painted over. You'd be better off throwing them all out before you install them. I installed one of the batch I bought and then went to the hardware store to find better screws. I don't understand why so many companies importing hardware from China spec the worst possible screws when the unit cost of a decent one can't possibly be more than a penny or two.

I didn't measure and the base was too wide to slot into my window but that's on me, great product otherwise, just be sure to measure outer diameter.

Does what it’s intended for. Solid little handle

So, I bought this on a guestimate & I mis-guestimated. Only real dislike with any validity for this review is the item is bright white, like nuclear white. I mean, it's cleaner than the jalousies it was supposed to attach to, the walls it's next to, the house it's in... Heck, this thing'll outshina a brand new plate of China.

Bought for my rental. Tenant was happy with it.

Shorter length than the original so not as much leverage when turning it to open and close the window, but it fit perfectly on the spindle. Does the job at a reasonable price.
