Yet again, Sophie makes me feel absolutely EVERYTHING. I love love love the way Sophie writes, she has quickly become my favourite author. The sp¡ce is hot, the plot is intricate and intriguing and I'm left with answers but also even more questions. The world of Kingmakers is so intense and all the side plots and background characters have me so invested. I get answers but then I have more questions. In The Heir we see Miles as a party boy with a carefree attitude who gives zero fxcks. In The Rebel we quickly realise this is not the case. Miles cares very deeply about the things that are important to him and I loved seeing and identifying the parts of him that are like each of his parents. As a Cal and Aida *fan*, I was almost guaranteed to love their son. We see his determination, his loyalty, his ruthlessness and his passion. He doesn't take what he wants, he earns it. He builds connections, he makes deals and he finds a way. It's difficult not to respect his hustle. He deserves everything he wants because he works for it.Zoe is trapped in an engagement with Rocco (a sociøpathic bag of trash) and in The Heir she is reserved, scared and worried about the consequences of enjoying herself a little too much. After meeting Miles, she comes out of her shell. Around him and the friendships she's formed with Anna, Leo and Chey, she loosens up and allows herself to become someone she wants to be. I loved seeing her take back her body and learn to love herself again. I understood why she felt the way she did but finding love helped her love and appreciate herself. As well as Miles and Zoe, The Heir is also told through Cat's POV. This is partly (I assume) to set us up for The Bully but also for reasons that become clear towards the end of the book. But Cat's journey is also huge. She really grows into her own at Kingmakers and with what she's learned she could be a formidable force. Her relationship with Dean will make for one hell of a read too. This book was hot, thrilling and an absolute rollercoaster ride. I was sweating from the heat then sweating from the suspense. I laughed and I cried. As well as the main three, I love that Sophie is still building stories in the background for the side characters and those from previous books, even those from the Brutal Birthright series. You can tell a lot of work goes into these stories and I cannot wait to get through them all and have the answers to all my questions.

5 Stars
I devoured the Brutal Birthright Series and there was no way I wasn't checking out the baby generation of Mafia Elite.Book 2 of Kingmakers focuses on Miles Griffin, the Heir to the Irish Mafia in Chicago and Zoe Romero. Miles is just doing the bare minimum to pass his classes and having more running his illegal contraband pipeline under the faculties noses. Zoe, is just doing her best to make the most of the safety that Kingmakers provides, knowing that her father intends to sell her out to Rocco Prince when she graduates. When Miles sees Rocco threatening to carve up his betrothed, he cant help but get involved, and then eventually plot how to steal Zoe away from Rocco completely while avoiding the rule of recompense... which poor Ozzie faces much to the horror of the entire school. This story is told from 3 points of view. Miles, Zoe and her younger sister Kat, if you dont know why you need Kats POV, believe me, its so worth it.Narration was fantastic, loved this story.

Finally wrapped up this series
I enjoyed this a lot. Miles is a lot sweeter than I expected him to be and Zoey is so darn strong. I still love Cat so much and seeing her before she turns into the character she becomes...beautiful. We love to see it. While this isn't my favourite in the series, it's up there with the faves. (The Bully and The Spy) Audio was fantastic.

Great story spoiled by the use of book tunnel
I enjoyed the story and unfortunately give away clues will spoil a real page turner. Very exciting and not predictable at all. But I gave it 4 stars because of the use of book tunnel. I admit I am not technically astute but mucking around trying to get the ending to the story was annoying, irritating and I gave up. Why use book tunnel. Why not just finish the book.

Heart Stopping and has you holding your breath.
Sophie Lark has knocked it out of the park AGAIN! Another emotional roller coaster of a book. I didn’t want to put it down and I didn’t want it to end.Miles is as beautiful and passionate as his mum and reading the way Zoe grows from a beautiful timid soul to a vibrant strong woman is inspiring. I absolutely Loved this book.I need to catch my breath before I start the next one as I know my heart will be racing all over again because Sophie Lark’s books always has me on the edge of my seat and my coffee always ends up cold. Enjoy!

I really enjoyed this book! I love know what the last characters are up to and their lives together. I’m also glad about the ending cause that guy deserved it! I don’t want to post any spoilers but it’s just really good💗

Loved it
Who knew Miles was a romantic. I loved how he went anove and beyond to make sure Zoe was safe and his. I also loved how Cat grew throughout their story. She was a shy and timid young girl at the beginning and it was so nice seeing her become strong. I am shocked that it appears Dean is going to be her alphahole as i thought maybe Anna’s younger sister would be who Dean went after as some sort of revenge against Anna and Leo. I think Dean’s story is going to be very interesting.Im also hoping we get Ares’ and Hedeon’s stories, im bery intrigued by both of them.
