Purchase oil for friends oil change,same qualities you get anywhere else. Same oil, better price would buy through them again. Of course, it was easy to pour, the quality was excellent. It helped with the engine noise, the engine did smooth out some, I do like that it is synthetic.

Been using castrol products for over fifty years. I have never had a seized or blown engine. Castrol is not always the cheapest, but occasionally it goes on sale and is very price competitive.

This is a good product. I have been using Castrol GTX on my Hondas since the late 1980s. This time I could only find the 0W-20 Full Synthetic (both online and at Walmart) in containers that say "Also Suitable For Hybrids". I do not have a Hybrid car and was concerned about using this oil, but with the help of CHATGBT I found out that the oil marked "Also Suitable For Hybrids".is very good for cars that are not Hybrids. My Honda Ridgeline takes 5.7 quarts of motor oil so I had to buy an additional Quart, BUT again I could not find (at Walmart) one quart bottles of 0W-20, so I had to buy a quart of 5W-20. I will be changing the oil (and filter) very soon, and if I run into anything unusual, I will post again. Just be careful and know what you are buying. "Also Suitable For Hybrids" appears in the upper-left corner of the label, and you can decide whether to use it. Hope this helps !

For the price, this Castrol 0-20 w oil is very good. I use the high mileage type every third oil change. Other times I use the normal 0-20w full synthetic oil. This is just my preference. I have 155,000 miles on the car with oil services at every 5,000 miles. Using a quality oil filter is very important too.

I've used Castrol Edge for a while and been very happy with it. I've used it in my wife's BMW X3 since we purchased it and it now has 152K miles on it. I've been using it my high mileage Acura TL for quite a while. The TL has 286K miles on the original engine and does not burn oil and still runs great (it's been an amazingly reliable car). I use Edge 5w-30 in my daughter's 328i as well. BMW branded oil used to be made by Castrol (I don't recall who makes it currently) and it's been great in all our cars. I use premium oil filters (Mann for BMW and Purolator One for the Acura) and try to change it every 5,000-7,000 miles. I know they say the oil can go 10,000 miles (and I'm sure it can), but I'm a big believer in keeping clean oil in my cars and it's honestly cheap and easy maintenance and gives a little extra insurance against premature wear. The fact that my TL is still going strong with almost 300K miles tells me that using high quality oil and filters that are changed regularly is the key to engine longevity. You can't beat 5 quarts of great oil for under $30 and it gets dropped right on my doorstep.
